Contrary to Slot talk, change can indeed happen.
1) Let Kerkez run - width.
2) Gomez can actually be played - width and defensive contribution.
3) Don't always have to play a very high press - nice to see Maca and Grav staying in Liverpool half during the buildup.
4) Defense first does work. Especially in the set pieces, everyone back in Liverpool half defending.
5) Keep things simple defensively, take less risk - no fancy passes just kick the ball up field or out of play.
6) Salah can be dropped.
7) Wirtz is the future. Wirtz and Szobo just behind the forward line, running up and down.

Negatives:
1) Konate concentration lapses - periods in the 2nd half where he once again pushes too high up and out of position. I think can hear VVD shout to get back into position. A better team would have baited Konate to make mistakes (e.g., Man City).
2) When Wirtz went off, the press disappeared and team look disjointed.
3) Last season, when defending a lead in the last 10 minutes, it is usually Endo the closer that was brought in. Not this time. Is Endo really that out of favour?
4) Gomez's very high positioning created gaps in the right side - a better team would likely have punished Liverpool.
