dun use cheap attractant. try wax block rat bait. ie. bayer racumin

those sticky trap attracts insects n cockroaches too. rats see bodies there will probly avoided it. so it might lasts couple to few days before u need to dispose it. but usually u'll able to trap a rat ont the same night if ur place having very bad infestation
