Last year I got 2 summons for speeding, both on the same day 6 mins apart. Turns out these were at the Ipoh NSE portion where the limit was 90km/h.

Recently travel north and paid extra attention. But I noted the road was relatively flat and smooth. Unlike the Menora section which is hilly. So why did they reduce limit to 90km/h between the Ipoh entry and exits? Amy unassuming driver like me wouldn't have realised the limit reduced to 90km/h unless pay extra attention to the signs as the terrain is normal.

Between the Ipoh entry and exit. The speed limit reduces to 90km/h in this section.

Where else but the well known jelapang- ipoh south stretch of the highway.

Cross wind?naik bukit?turun bukit?got two tall hill left and right?got rock fall before? geography issues?

Not hilly and no crosswinds. Plus got the extra 2 seprate lanes for the inter Ipoh traffic.

Forget about the police hiding. I want to understand why is the limit at this stretch at 90 instead of 110.

Maybe the limit is for controlling the opposite lane heading south.
Opposite lane just coming down from hill, somemore got toll exit to Ipoh.

I dont think they can put different speed limit for 1 side and opposite side different speed right? Will be confusing.
