Decided on 1.5hp model aslong as its super cold and save energy. Possible quiet would be nice.Wind must be strong too.

Its for a room the size quite small suitalbe for 1hp model but now 1hp model really not cold at all. Change a few models the latest model lilke no horsepower really not cold enough. Even the wind power also cannot feel.

Dont need special feature etc just a normal inverter aircon that super cold and enough wind blowing and power saving.

Wiring all will be redo so 3 wire 4 wire or 5 wire dont matter much.

Yes the room super hot during daytime or night time most times when the temperature rises if prolong no heavy rain for days or weeks.

Aircon daily usage most times would be 24 hours sometimes for weeks.

Recent temperature draw me nuts. Cant even have a good sleep.

The first 1 hp aircon was cold and strong but the airocn repairman ruined it on purpose. The next airon was cold and ok but installer ruined it dont ask the sore part. totally pissed off. The airon was beyond hope after using a year or 2. Basically got shortcircuited even piping and wiring also got problem.

Current model 1 hp inverter is 5 star but just wasnt cold enough even the wind blow also cannot feel much.

The calculation base on size etc etc dont fit my room condition. Its a hot bedroom got window.

Get a Mitsubishi Electric aircond, the compressor is silent and quality is good

Your post alludes to you realising the importance of doing a good installation. So I suggest you get the first brand you installed that was good, and have a competent tech install it properly.

I can tell you for sure either something wrong with your unit or its really underspec for your room space

My ME 1hp inverter (JS10VF2), took like 30 minutes at most to cool the room when temperature set to 25c and max fan speed

QC or using cheap low class compressor to selling in Malaysia than install imported products, much worth it

My Hisense cheapo entry model.. turn on within 5 minutes feel cold air blasting out

Panasonic turn on iAutoX 5 minutes feel nothing. Utter rubbish. Top of the line model inverter lagi. Waste of money. Lucky I only bought 1 for my bedroom. Others all Hisense, Mitsubishi Electric, York Johnson Control (also rubbish)

You wanna save electricity use fan, no need buy aircon.

I would advise you fine tune the settings based on your preference and redirect the cooling air towards the area you going to be instead of trying to cool the entire room. Basic aircon only had room temp sensor inside the indoor unit, but more premium ones has remote sensors. And to avoid overcooling, by design the aircon may not blow strong cold air continuously at a fixed direction. It will not cool the same with basic aircon at similar temperature settings.

An extreme example is old landed house on normal sunny weather retaining heat in the wall (>30°C) and ceiling (>38°C) pass midnight. Even with setting 28°C, the area directly blown at is already below 24°C with basic non-inverter aircon.

Get the highest btu 1.5hp e.g. Mitsu MS-JR13VF.

The next step if landed, install some cladding or insulation on the walls (presume it is west facing wall?)

No need any fancy feture, just pure 5 star inverter with fast windblower and cold. If quiet even better.

I also need time to arrange a installer which he damm busy.

Which model?
Don’t take the non inverter or standard inverter, lower class inverter usually has higher input watts and lower capacity of BTU.
Make sure get the premium inverter

Buy CPU get i3 confirm is slow, if i7 or i9 no issue

Acson… get their authorized installers to install. Very good service and knowledge.

Finally change aircon. This time I stubborn I sternly wanted a 1.5hp inverter airon. Dont care what brand.

In the end I got my wish. 1.5hp inverter really got the horse power.
When the room get extremely hot day or night. I switch on it full power. Give it about 30mins to 1hour really cold and I can even feel the blower wind too.

No regret whatsoever. Now only wait for tnb bill.

The logic on space vs horsepower isnt worng but under now condtion or extremely hot room. That logic dont work at all.

As for previous aircon stretching the 1.0hp 5 star nverter until 16 degree. The bill goes up and still it isnt cold.

Now wait to know about 1.5hp. currently using between 24 and 26 degree.
