Hello, my house is starting renovation. I'm trying to look for CCTV that can work offline, and can also view from phone or even remotely from the CCTV itself when necessary, reason for this is if I apply for internet at new house, I have to pay both sides for internet.

Is there any recommendations for CCTV that works without internet, but is also able to view what's going on from the CCTV ?

get a CCTV camera and DVR can already la . then connect to local home network that no internet access. then u can view from your phone when u connecting to the same home network.

if you want to view witihin the wifi local area, then it possible to view without internet because sharing same local LAN network.

if want to view outside the local lan network. you need internet.
or you can find cctv support broadband/sim which dedicate for cctv use only

U can laying fiber lan cable direct less than 100m, more u need router in between. Opt 1.
2. If doing wireless u need direct facing the antenna.
3. U can opt to surveillance satellite. N this opt u no need even the CCTV.
4. If no need real time to check, u can pull up the save vids form CCTV and view at yr leasure time.

Yeah. I'm quite confused with all the suggestions above because in no way I'm a tech guy. What I want is simple, a way to install a CCTV without internet, and still able to view it when necessary, doesn't have to be real-time live feed even.

I have a Xiaomi CCTV now which is connected to internet, so that one I know, but if I take my Xiaomi CCTV over to the house that has no internet, how to view the feed there without internet when I need to ?

Offline CCTV with local storage is definitely in the market. if you're just next door to it, maybe you can connect it to your WIFI or pull a cable. but offline literally means offline. if you want to access to it remotely whenever from wherever. i don't see how you can make do without subscribing to a telco service

If without internet u need to connect to the cctv wifi direct just like how u connect phone to car dashcam.

your statement is confusing..

offline, u can record but need to be there to view the footage.
if want to view footage remotely, than that is online, need internet connection through fiber/simcard..

I think need to explain more layman, without internet the CCTV can only record to SD card and will require a powersource. To view the recording need to go and remove the SD card and review the recording or if the CCTV have wifi then can connect to the wifi (within range) to view the recording.

Ohh ok, i think I get it, so basically I bring over my Xiaomi CCTV which has a SD card inside, connect my CCTV to a power source, then it'll also record without internet because it's save into the SD card ? Then when I wan to view it, I take out the SD card and use a reader to view the recordings ?

Yes correct. Or you can just open your phone hotspot and connect to the wifi in your CCTV whenever you go there to view without taking out your SD card.
