Hi Guys,

Looking for above.

8 inch so it is portable.

Budget rm 1000

More for reading, watching movies.

Wifi is sufficient. No need to insert sim.

Must be light weight as well.

I have 2 10.1 inches already. It is heavy and i find it not that portable.

Thanks.

Maybe a Lenovo Tab M8 Gen 4?
(note, budget low end tablet specs)
https://shopee.com.my/Lenovo-Smart-Tab-M8-4...596.11253706812

or a Samsung Tab A7 Lite or Tab A9
(Tab A8 is 10 inch)
would get A9 as it is newer and better speced\

or a Realme Pad Mini

you can go lower with lesser known brands like
Teclast P80T/P85T
or a Blackview Tab 50/60
but the specs of those are so low end it's... concerning
and they may not support netflix

I am in dilemma as well. I have tested samsung a9 at samsung store and i was suprised that its really light and easy to bring everywhere as my pocket notes or media consumption.

But then i think the spec is too underpowered and it might not be able to run some apps that i need since almost all the new upcoming apps require more space and consume more memory.

I dont mind top up more but sadly its hard to find decent 8 inch tablet.

if you dont care about androids updates and just need a decent 8 inch tablet, can try alldocube mini pro NFE, it supports Netflix L1 certificate and running android 13 on Helio G99 which i think give reasonable performance.

Great. I saw in Taobao, the reviews are mostly positive. But in eBay or Amazon, there are a few saying that the screen broke, touch screen not responding and etc.

Not sure about the screen broken or touch screen not responding, not happen to me yet, i guess they got the lemon/defective units. Anyway, for the price it works like how it should be, no other similar price range tablets with the same processor, +bonus sim card slot

I’ve had good experiences with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 and the Lenovo Tab M8. They’re both light and compact, which makes them great for reading and streaming on the go. I found them both under RM1000 and pretty easy to handle compared to larger tablets.
