Not saying tahfiz can't be these but anyone can be tahfiz even without the schooling. My uni has a special form for these tahfiz. Never bergaul with people outside their circle. Idk what they actually do there and in my course (electrical) I only know three tahfiz. Two of them struggle in my course, another one is so-so. Also in my final year only one that I know of are from tahfiz. The only one that graduated isn't from tahfiz school.

Actual tahfiz and tahfiz school is two different things. Thing is a lot tahfiz school pops out like mushroom, scamming parents. Orang sendiri busukkan nama sekolah tahfiz. Budak2 sekolah tahfiz ramai daripada keluarga miskin dan kerosakan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah macam ni banyak. Belum kira membuat bangunan tak patuh standard, makan tak cukup, disiplin ustaz teruk. Demi agama kita boleh buat sambil lewa?
