In a nutshell.
Selamgor EXCO from DAP says no problem appointing the company owned by husband of DAP minister because the company was already approved by APAD, an agency under another DAP Minister.

QUOTE(prophetjul @ May 26 2024, 08:51 AM) APAD is under Ministry of Transport Anthony Loke.In fact, APAD was created by Anthony Loke in 2018 after SPAD was abolished. SPAD was previously under PMO then when abolished and replaced by APAD by PH1.0. APAD then put under Ministry of Transport. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ May 26 2024, 09:02 AM) If like that then no need talk lah. Minister can easily tell them, go approve that company. At the end of the day, it is all about public perception. And now the public perception is like this: Selamgor EXCO from DAP says no problem directly appointing the company owned by husband of DAP minister without tender because the company was already approved by APAD, an agency under another DAP Minister. |

Interestingly, the company was founded by Hannah Yeoh's husband together with MalaysiaKini co-founder right after GE14 with sole focus on public transport - specifically government public transport. ![]() Digifriend07 liked this post

QUOTE(prophetjul @ May 26 2024, 09:17 AM) So means, DAP, PH, PN and BN all no need do business, issit? If got open tender or tender, already mentioned by DAP Exco already."Without tender". i do not see that mentioned? But he used the word "invited and appointed" instead. "Asia Mobility and Badan Bus have been invited to make a presentation to the DRT Pilot Project Implementation Committee for consideration of appointment as a service operator based on APAD's approval and their experience in implementing POC at their respective company-levels. "The DRT Pilot Project Implementation Committee agreed to appoint these two companies because of the approval given by APAD at that time. This is because this administration wants to meet the standards set by the authorities to ensure the safety of DRT service users is guaranteed," he said. https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2024/05/...google_vignette Digifriend07 and max_cavalera liked this post

QUOTE(ifourtos @ May 26 2024, 09:34 AM) Nope. Actually the latest court decision in Oct 2023 is that govt was at fault and said no misuse of money."Justice Anand Ponnudurai ruled there was no wrongful use of the RM250mil loan sum and no breach of fiduciary duties by the 11 defendants The court also found that the Federal Government had breached the Implementation Agreement (IA) when the plaintiff failed to construct the Export Quality Abattoir (EQA) and breached the Loan Facility Agreement (LFA) by unlawfully terminating it. Justice Anand pointed out that it was not unlawful for NFCorp to utilise part of the loan sum to invest in properties in the name of the company and the company did not breach the loan agreement and IA. The court ruled that the project’s targets were not met due to the government’s failure to build the EQA.. The court also allowed NFCorp’s counterclaim against the government for breach of agreement and allowed for nominal damages of RM10,000. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2023...-against-nfcorp Both the govt and NFC are not appealing that decision. |

On 27th March 2024, Anwar said he will be checking with the Treasury following allegations that his ex-aide suddenly become chairman of three public listed companies and also taking majority stakes in two other listed companies which were on the verge of getting large government contracts.
But two months later, there has been no reply from PMX. Is he still checking? Or is the treasury under MOF (which is PMX too) very slow to answer PMX? Anwar to check Farhash allegations with Treasury Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will check with the Treasury on the allegations against businessman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak in connection with the purchase of shares in a company shortlisted for a RM1bil government contract.
