A few issues you may encounterhttps://shopee.com.my/Xiaomi-Router-BE3600-...35-b7e23c13628e i wanna change my huawei ax3 pro. my ax1800 very lau yah even though i mesh it 1. no PPPoE VLAN support, you will need to get a Smart Ethernet Switch to do the VLAN management for you 2. China has a lower transmit power limit, if all your neighbours are using local routers and have the power set to max, it could drown out your one Ashren liked this post

QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ May 23 2024, 07:17 PM) A few issues you may encounter Let me add on another point.1. no PPPoE VLAN support, you will need to get a Smart Ethernet Switch to do the VLAN management for you 2. China has a lower transmit power limit, if all your neighbours are using local routers and have the power set to max, it could drown out your one Unless you got WiFi 7 devices, a good AX3000 router will almost guarantee to outperform BE3600 routers when tested with WiFi 6 devices. And, a good AX3000 routers will almost guarantee to outpeform a BE3600 router on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz signal strength. |

software wise, menu and user operability is very limited.
Highly advisable to go for better firmware support and options to play around with , ASUS or Tp-Link. Xiaomi best they remain at doing phones for now. Their apps very basic and minimal. |

China has a lower transmit power limit, if all your neighbours are using local routers and have the power set to max, it could drown out your one I'm considering Xiaomi BE3600 Pro for the smart device hub and mesh function, but not sure if China router can work in Msia or not Not very particular on speed since I'm only using the Time 200mbps plan and their free router, very satisfied so far Just that now I need hub function for smart lightings and mesh for wider coverage in the house so this BE3600 Pro is a nice fit This post has been edited by ironcrowz: Dec 28 2024, 09:39 PM |

Xiaomi Malaysia now sells the BE3600 & BE3600 Pro with global firmware
Don’t know if it supports local ISP Vlan tagging though blacktubi any idea? Their official Shopee store representative couldn’t answer my question |

QUOTE(ironcrowz @ Dec 28 2024, 09:36 PM) Mind to explain on point 2? If you just need a wider wifi coverage for your smart devices, just get TP-Link Deco series. It is also MESH ready, more user friendly to setup, mobile apps support, cloud support and many more.I'm considering Xiaomi BE3600 Pro for the smart device hub and mesh function, but not sure if China router can work in Msia or not Not very particular on speed since I'm only using the Time 200mbps plan and their free router, very satisfied so far Just that now I need hub function for smart lightings and mesh for wider coverage in the house so this BE3600 Pro is a nice fit And confirmed to works with TIME, Maxis & Unifi ISP. QUOTE(blacktubi @ Feb 18 2025, 12:31 PM) Yeah, me too wondering how is the performance and how it works out-of-box. If anyone have experienced it before, please share. |
