I thinking keep Digi & replace xox with hotlink. So Hotlink 365 is the best right now ??

I carry 2 phones, one on celcomdigi another on hotlink. Dunno about other places, but in Penang island they’re both roughly the same. Some places have better hotlink coverage others have better celcomdigi coverage.

stability differs in places.

If you already have XOX then why do you have Digi? MNP to Hotlink... best of duopoly world.

Nothing is perfect nowadays...

One thing is right thought... the inclusion of Digi subscribers is really putting Celcom network under pressure. Used to be faster before the merger.

Rural area celcom digi maxis sharing tower.
Spme place sharing network MOCN tower
Coverage are the same

Digi and MOCN tower
No 4G band 7
After midnight 4G band 1 3 gone. Band 8 stay
During heavy rain. Sometime signal from nearest tower gone.

Prepaid offerings is comparable between the two, but Hotlink's Pantas Plans allow full speed, CelcomDigi caps their Prepaid 5G speed at 100mbps. A deal breaker for me as i like my plan to have full/unlimited speed. Where i live/work, Hotlink is slightly faster (only just), but CelcomDigi trumps Hotlink in my hometown.

I've just ported to Hotlink from Celcom. The latter has been terrible since the merger and crappy customer service.

CelcomDigi coverage, stability & speed all depends on location...

But one I can observe is...
After the major mergers...
Network getting worse....

Maxis / Hotlink seems little better only...
It's like on par with CelcomDigi....

I was with Maxis since 2006 and in Dec 2022, I ported to CelcomDigi for almost 15 months because Maxis didn't have 5G back then.

I ported back to Maxis in March this year and I can tell you, Maxis is so much more stable. No doubt Maxis is not perfect but overall, it is still much more stable than CelcomDigi.

I now use CelcomDigi Edisi Kuning Prepaid 25 as my secondary/backup line and Maxis is my main line.

I subs to Maxis hotlink postpaid RM45 plan few days ago, so far so good. Nothing superior compare to CelcomDigi but at least connection still stable in storm heavy rain situation where CelcomDigi often become unstable and only provide slow connection or even no data at all for a short while.

By the way I can't find any "Edisi Kuning Prepaid 25" plan in my Digi app, am I missing something ??

Also what the hack is unlimited onnet call ?? Only between same server like Digi to Digi ??

You can upgrade your existing Digi Plan to 5G Kuning using USSD Code *118#1#4#1# and get the screen above.

Choose 1 and press SEND to change plan

You need to be on the 5G Kuning Plan to see the Edisi Kuning Prepaid 25 add-on

https://help.celcomdigi.com/support/solutio...isclosure-sheet

Is within Digi network only.

So plan like this only allow Digi to Digi call ?? What's the point for plan like this if I can't use it to call Maxis or Umobile or any land number ??

I see your current Digi prepaid plan is NEXT.

No, it does not matter whether your phone supports 5G or not.

You can still change plan to 5G Kuning and use the Edisi Kuning 25 add-on

I using the Digi RM20 prepaid plan as backup and thinking try Edisi Kuning 25 if it is available to me after the current plan is expired. The Edisi Kuning 25 has unlimited mobile & fix line call ??

I believe this next 25 was just launched like late last year during transition phase into celcomdigi branding. Maybe they purposely gimp this plan so people will have reasons to move up to newest celcomdigi plan when eventually launched.

Celcomdigi prepaid have monthly plans of minimal rm25 and all have unlimited calls to all network (except 35 unlimited)

After 10 days of usage looks like hotlink is at least more stable and provide better signal inside building or simply anyway and won't become unstable when weather turn bad.

I'm using 2 digi numbers sim1 & sim2 on my main phone + 2 celcom edisi biru numbers sim1 & sim2 on my spare phone
( all 4 numbers are prepaid )

😎🔥

For digi on honor 90 5g
Mostly on 5g constantly even on raining day, rarely drop to 4g+, in terms of network performance, so far so good, hardly give me a problem

For celcom edisi biru on vivo y15a
Nothing much to say as im just 2 days old user, but as of now everything looks good, Mostly on 4g constantly
Just temporary as later this celcom will be transfer to iphone 15 pro max by end of the year, by then will be enjoying celcom 5g

2 months back port out from hotlink pantas due to slow when accessing Internet, it might be me not setup properly or my area bit problematic for hotlink pantas

010, 012 & 019 were the origin, after the port in/out system implemented, it doesn’t matter anymore lol

Hotlink Vs UMobile

Prefer Hotlink which is much more coverage and stable in building.

U Mobile the latency seems a bit high! Sometimes slow loading as well.

coz lots of ppl saying celcomdigi has the widest 4g coverage, but if line coverage wide but slow also no use
hotlink last time super expensive, but now far better ady

with competitive market, they are much affordable now.
can’t go wrong with either one though, for which one has the best coverage is depending on the places you frequent visit.
if having more than one mobile number is not a hassle, just get both of them 😊

Widest coverage based on their marketing because if you check network selection there still separate the network between digi and celcom

Celcom digi -= digi
Celcom = celcom

Slow you need define what your slow means if abuser download then yes if normal usage 4G get 20mbps to 100mbps is more than enough

if you see "MY CELCOM 3G" in your network search result, it means the network had been consolidated in your area. The reason why CELCOM and Digi still appeared separately because they implemented MOCN..You can think like how a WiFi AP could broadcast more than one SSID and when u connect to different SSID, you are provided with different services/speed, but coverage is still the same

Celcom users will see MY CelcomDigi and Digi separately, meanwhile Digi users will see MY CelcomDigi and MY CELCOM separately. Because they hardcoded the original network to MY CelcomDigi. If you use non CDB SIM, it'll still show as MY CELCOM and Digi. Therefore "MY CELCOM 3G" aka the combined 2G network is the best way to identify whether the CDB network has been consolidated as 2G standard had not introduced/supported MOCN.

Similarly, if u travel to rural areas and found 502 158 in the network search result. It means there are JENDELA MOCN towers nearby, usually CelcomDigi and Maxis will be sharing the infrastructure (so both of them will have equal signal strength). Other telco like U Mobile, Unifi, and Yes kinda hit or miss

Yes, DNB is doing MOCN on 5G, so signal will be the same. The speed might be slightly different depends on routing and agreements between DNB and telco

This is kinda unfortunate but truth as well. We are kinda mess up in this situation. DNB supposed to provide universal 5G coverage as now they are the sole operator but has yet to reach such quality

MY CELCOM 3G is not CelcomDigi 3G, but CelcomDigi 2G
The reason is because phone could only see it as 502 13, and this PLMN was being used TMTouch and sooner Celcom 3G back in the day when it launched its 3G network.

In my experience, B8, B3, B1
For CelcomDigi - Maxis MOCN,
B8 at least 2 of
3600, 3524, 3750 (5MHz only)
B3
1650 1850 1300 (usually all 3, all 20MHz)
B1
500 175 (all 15MHz)

4CA is achievable, can get at least 150Mbps or even 400Mbps under strong signal
