Change temp is not the problem But at what temp and what mode you run the aircon. That can affect the bill cost.

What is your bill cost before this hike? Gradually up or sudden hike?

There might be a fridge or an aircon. These 2 can cause sudden high consumption.

You can do some test to see the meter record.

OFF all the aplicences. Not even 1 thing is running. Record the meter number. Wait an hr. Then record the meter again. Compare before and after the number. That can know anything is running or not.

For checking the high consumption like aircon, record the meter before ON the aircon, run the aircon as usual for 8hr sleep. After 8hr, record the usage and minus the record before. And you get the usage kWh. If you don’t no is it high or low usage, post it here all the record detail and let people here check for you.
