The last mile of 5G are the same right ? I haven't had access to a Yes sim, but I have a U mobile sim, which I got around 300 Mbps - 600 Mbps. Does it mean there is signal of Yes 5G at my location?
*
Yup, that is the case as both Telco are using DNB's 5G network. But u mobile was just less stable for me back then. Been using Yes5G since Aug'23, so far very stable.

Is the routing solvable using VPN?

I switched to Yes 5G Flexi for about 3 months, loss of signal maybe around 3 times less than 10 mins total. Saved about 50 monthly, worth it. Average speed 400/120. No lag playing PUBG.

Not much different in terms of speed, but saving 41 monthly is significant.

Is this good deal? Which ISP offers the best 5g WiFi router device, brand and model?

Thank you

Anyone has experience of using 5g for home internet and want to share ?

I use and handphone to test my 5g connection, I get around 300-600 Mbps speed in the morning. This is tested in the house where the unifi modem/router is located.

In term of cost 300mbps unifi is around rm150 after tax, and I supposed 5g will be around rm50 only after tax.

I get saving of rm100 per month, after a few months, it is sufficient to payback the 5g modem/router.

Is the calculation correct?

Mobile tech is less reliable and subject to congestion easily unlike fibre service. If you calculate ROI 3 months then can try and stretch until unuseable then subscribe fibre okay. Not a permanent solution.

Can u suggest which is best for my case
Im renting apartment for 1 year. maxis and celcom fibre is available however for fibre at least need 2 year contract except for time unfortunately time not available in that place
My usage is probably max 2-3 user at the same time
some online gaming like fc 25 and pc/ps5
Also relocation of fibre might not work for me as after 1 year i will be moving out to a sibling house that already have internet fibre
As for 5g.. is yes the best?

RM1 / Day is a surprise deal and may not be always available

I'm using RM1 1TB / 9 days nearly one year
I'm not an heavy user, work from home but kids watch a lot of Netflix and YouTube without any issues

One minor issue my 3UK 5G router may not be stable all the time, but I use ChatGPT to help me write a script to reboot it daily and so far no issue.

Noted that Digi provide credit rebate sometimes, make some calculation and use it wisely.
