YUp and get everything mad-dog listed up there photostat copies .. You can't give ur airtickets to them for sure. Hmm, I took my form from the embassy.

Pretty strict, the current account must be your name or if you're still a student, they'l lwant to see ur birthcert and you submit your parent's one with a consent letter from your parents. Super mafan. Then they wanted a prove from my University as well that I'm a student there.

If you're staying at hotel then u need to show them the documents/statements .. or else you'll need a guardian letter

Going to Tokyo in April, would like to ask if iPhone 3GS will work at Japan by turning on the 3G settings? or data roaming by using our local prepaid like Digi/Hotlink?

I'm using Maxis postpaid now, however to activate roaming I'll need to pay RM300 deposit and the rate is not much cheaper than just buying a simcard and top up before I head to Tokyo.

Data roaming in any country is f**king expensive, unless you sign up for daily rates like Maxis' DataRoam Value at rm38/day (which depending on your bank account, may or may not be still f**king expensive).

Sorry my mistake, I'm not interested in data roaming more of for voice calls/sms purpose only to call home daily since I'll have wifi in friends' house.
I meant, I need to turn on the 3G settings or something?

Aunts/grandma at home don't know how to use iPhone else I can just whatapps/imessage or viber them sad.gif

Go holiday also must report back to daddy every day? hmm.gif

IMO you could go to the Maxis centre and ask about activating International roaming for your prepaid line. The website says must deposit rm300 but when I went to activate mine, they said no need deposit.

On iPhone, roaming is automatic without needing to set up anything special. However make sure that Data Roaming is "OFF" in the settings otherwise you will facepalm when you get your next bill icon_idea.gif

Haha nope, don't really have to report home everyday but some personal reasons that I may want to call home.
That's what my friend said too, she just made a call and they activate for her without any charges ... but when I spoke to the customer service they asked me to drop by Maxis Centre to pay the deposit. Hahaha, I'm aware of the sky high charges for data roaming yawn.gif Using prepaid may be a better option = money habis cannot call compare to postpaid where you don't know how much u have utilise.

So i shud stop at daiba for fuji TV and Aomi for palette town is it? How abt the rainbow bridge where actually i can get the best view to watch the bridge?
Because I only got 3D 2N at Tokyo..

So i should stick with Shibuya and shinjuku in my first day and maybe Ginza for my night view..
How about if i put Disneyland and Odaiba for my second day...it will be from 9:00AM till 6:00PM at disneyland and after that i'm goin to odaiba...?

and my last day will be Asakusa Area -> Ueno -> Akihabara because i will be leaving at 9:00PM night bus to Kyoto..do u think i got time if i wanted to put shiba on the same day?
*
Don't think you can finish exploring Disneyland by 6:00PM too, if not mistaken they're open until 9PM these days?
Too rushing to go Odaiba in only 2-3hours, there's like Decks, Venus Fort, Fuji TV ... definitely cannot go all the places.

i need sifu opinion on jr pass liao

i read some of the blog, they already bought jr pass to travel around japan using jr line, however, they do mentioned that they still buy suica card

kinda confuse here.. i tot jr pass can be used on all jr lines trains (exclude 2 models of shinkansen) and some jr buses, why ppl still buy suica card to travel around tokyo a?

thanks
*
Yes you're right JR pass can be use across most of the JR lines but if not mistaken, not all the trains in Tokyo are operated by JR therefore you may need a Suica/Pasmo card.

Suica and PASMO
Suica and PASMO are prepaid IC cards, that can be used interchangeably on most trains and buses in Greater Tokyo, including JR trains, subways and other non-JR trains.

Question:
Disneyland/DisneySEA tickets, should I go there and buy on that day (consider that I may need to line up a bit?) or buy from convenience store (I heard need to exchange for tickets in the end line up as well) or other places like DisneyStore?

and Asakusa open everyday is that right?

TQ
