I'm heading to tokyo on 25th May, and will be landing at Narita at 830pm. Planning to spend 7 nights in Japan, perhaps 2 nights in Kyoto and 5 nights in Shinjuku.

What would you recommend, shld i

1.take a train straight upon landing from Narita to Kyoto, then stay 2 nights there, then back to Shinjuku for the remaining nights or

2.stay in Shinjuku 3 nights then go Kyoto 2 nights, then back to Tokyo again for 2 nights.

My flight departs Tokyo at 9am on 1st June. Any advice from you is much appreciated!!

Since you are a mt biker, can i ask you if anything worth getting in tokyo/osaka for MTB stuff? Like Shimano or Pearl Izumi stuff? Any factory outlets for those brands? I am looking for the very small Shimano Pro SX-4 wireless cyclemeter...

thanks stimix, thats what i thought too. MTB stuff here actually quite reasonable. i'm sure stuff like XTR costs even more in JP.

May i ask if the tours at http://www.jgl.co.jp/inbound/contents/tokyof.html for Tokyo full day and Nikko at http://www.japanican.com/tours/ is worth the price or its better to go exploring on my own via the instructions on page 1? Is it difficult to get around in Nikko or its easily accessible and can walk everywhere?

Can the SUICA/PASMO card be used in Kyoto subways/buses? Or for use in Tokyo area only? If cannot means i need to get the refuns of 500Yen before i leave Tokyo?

I'm a Kamen Rider fan, any tips on where to go for related items like T-shirts, toys, souvenirs etc? TQ!
