First time traveller to Tokyo and I'm super confused with the geography there. If it's not too much to ask, can someone tell me which of these 2 budget accommodation is more suitable if you wanna visit the main Tokyo tourist areas i.e. Akiba, Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc :

a) KHAOSAN TOKYO KABUKI
b) Tokyo Hotel Horidome Villa

Another thing, is the visa application very strict? Since I'm taking Airasia, will be arriving in Haneda 11pm, planning to overnight there. But they need us to fill up the itinerary form for visa, not sure what to put for first night accommodation. Do they check if I simply put a hotel name (but not going to stay)? @.@

Ooo I wonder what happens if I put 'Haneda airport' as my accommodation hahaha. Okay jokes aside, I should not do that rite. Probably just put the hotel name that I'll stay the next day onwards.. *prays nothing goes wrong*

Do we need to pay in full if booking thru Agoda? Or just deposit?

What's the best accommodation that one can find in Tokyo that is reasonably priced (budget) and convenient to get to anywhere in the city (tourist places for first time visitor) ?

Any list of suggestions/ recommendations/ personal favourites? smile.gif

Ghibli museum closed in May! The week I'll be there. Just.... right. :<

Got a half day or a day extra to spend, any tourist places to recommend that's not in the middle of Tokyo? Kamakura? Yokohama?

Closed 22 May - June 1.

Hmm Nikko a bit too far. Probably will stop by Yokohama or Kamakura. Actually want to combine with Odaiba, don't know if enough time. Then again, I think there's nothin much to see in Odaiba right?
