Hi guys, about the visa application...are we compulsory need to submit the following documentation to them?

1. Original passport
2. One (1) visa application form (downloadable)
3. One (1) photo (4.5cm x 4.5cm) with white background which is taken within 6 month from the visa application and must be pasted on the application form
4. IItinerary in Japan (downloadable) and for transit purpose, copy of visa to the main destination (USA, CANADA, etc)
5. Employment certificate stating your position, department in the company and length of service(using the company letterhead)
*If you are a sole proprietor/partner/owner of the company, you need to submit a copy of your business registration
*For those who are not working: a self explanatory letter stating how expenses will be borne, name and relationship of person(s) accompanying (if any)
6. Personal savings, latest current account statement, fixed deposit, Tabung Haji or Amanah Saham Berhad (ASB) (original certified true copy by the bank) (need to show the applicant’s name as the account owner, account number and current balance)
7. Copy of marriage certificate (spouse) or birth certificate (children) to show proof of relationship between the main applicant and the person(s) accompanying

if not mistaken, last 2 years my parent did visa application through tour agency and they could get it quick and easy without submitting like employment letter, copy of marriage bla bla bla

I just applied my VISA on last Wednesday, and going to collect later afternoon.

If you travel in group on tour agency, the tour agency can settle easily for you. If you travel on your own, such as free and easy by Air Asia, you need to submit all the item 1 to 7. For bank statement, either savings or FD will do.

Anyone just got back from Tokyo? Is the weather now like Genting or hotter? Leaving to Tokyo next week  tongue.gif

QUOTE(mmyy @ May 16 2012, 12:25 AM)
^RM617, not too bad. Though I bought my tix RM515 early this year.
With no promo it's 1.2-1.5k.
18C.. seems like I need to wear more pants and no dresses. ^^;

quite incredible you guys got it so cheap, I got it at RM900++ per pax on return tix on Airasia promotion yesterday midnight.....I'm going to tokyo on April next year, sakura blossom period icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

May I know which period you guys booked the ticket? ur ticket is cheap..

Question here, I'm going for 9D8N...except for Tokyo whereby I will spend at least 2 days at disneyland & disneysea, I planning to go Kansai region (OSAKA, KYOTO), is it enough or should I just focus on Chubu & Kanto region??? sweat.gif

I bought mine Feb this year, when they announced that they have daily flights to Tokyo now. smile.gif
Current promo very limited, I think most cheap tickets were gone within the first night.
I'm going 8D6N, one day in Disneysea.. the rest in city + Yokohama + Hakone. Should have taken 10 nights minimum - sad that I don't have enough days to slot in Kamakura, Nikko, Kawagoe, Disneyland as well. Even for city areas seems like I have limited time to spend in each place e.g. Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Akihabara, Ginza, Roppongi, Asakusa. I myself thought 6N was too much, until I started doing research and I have so many places I wanna go!

My advise - look up all that Tokyo has to offer then see if you have enough time left to slot in Kansai. For me, best to just stick to Tokyo and go on another trip next time focus on Kansai alone. Well, it also depends on your own interest. biggrin.gif

Emm...good advice given! thx bro.....I never tot of Chubu & Kanto region got so many places, may leave it next trip to travel to Kansai region, anyways when is your travelling period?

how you read the link lar doh.gif ... 100 yen = RM3.97 so 1000yen = RM39.70. The other figure there is yen/ringgit i.e. RM1 = 25.2yen

100 Japanese Yen JPY 3.9692 [25.1576]

Japan is not like Malaysia and Taiwan.  It don't have Pasar malam.  Japan ( Tokyo ) most of shop closed at 10pm...except Shinjuku Red Light district.

If want street food at night...Osaka is the placed.    Osaka where?  U do ur homework...I won't give direct answer

Dude, any suggestion on arriving Haneda airport approaching midnight? Take bus to city and check in hotel or wait until the next morning to take 1st train to city for check in??? unsure.gif

I get to know the crowd in public transport is terrible lots during office hours...if want to have ease in crowd, is it advised to go out around 9am n back to hotel around 9pm onward???

Horidome villa in nihonbashi. Just 800m walking distance from t-cat Tokyo and ~1.5km from Tokyo stn. There are 3 mrt stn within 400m from this hotel. Book via agoda but I think hotel.com cheaper

Horidome villa is the last hotel tat i stayed during my trip to japan... i feel itz the most inconvenient hotel for me... coz i m carrying 2 big luggage (me n my gf) to go to the hotel... from the subway to the hotel, itz consider near if u r not carrying anything... but if u r carrying heavy luggage with u, u will not enjoy it as u need to carry it up n down the stair from the subway...

personally i love Oak Hotel, very friendly and helpful staffs, wifi available in the room, near to Ueno with lots of things to eat... around 100m from Inaricho station... n u no need to drag the luggage up the stairs as escalator is available at tat station...
