QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 8 2012, 10:16 PM) Wow....Kopitiam Section Famous Ah Wang also came over here seek info. thanks, i read this info b4, knowing they will closed on wed n sunTsujiki Market closed every Sunday and Wednesday. -Up to 120 visitors per day (On a first-come, first-served basis. No reservation in advance.) -Visitors Registration (1) Registration Place: 1st Floor of "The Fish Information Center" (By the Kachidoki Bridge entrance). (2) Registration Time: From 5:00AM. -Tour Times Visitors are divided up into two groups of 60 according to their order of arrival. (1) First group visits the tuna auction area from 5:25AM to 5:50AM. (2) Second group visits the area from 5:50AM to 6:15AM. For these reasons, tourists are not allowed to enter the wholesaling areas which are especially crowded. But visitors can watch the auction only in the designated area in the Tuna Auction Area from 5:00 am to 6:15 am. In the auction area. i read a review by someone else, he said he went at 530am, too crowded until the officer there tell him n other tourist to come back tomorrow as quota is full i am wondering if need to travel there as early as possible, is taxi / walk the only way? cos i guess there will not be any train service so early right? n taxi fees will be sky high right if i staying in shinjuku thanks |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Mar 12 2012, 05:49 PM) My colleage purposely stay 1 night in hotel near tsukiji just to see the auction ... but I don't know if that's a good idea cos you waste few hours moving hotels. Unless your entire time in tokyo stay near tsukiji? My last year trip i stay in ikebukuro, leave hotel 5am by the time reach the market also too late for the auction. But anyway me & my fiancee still go twice to eat sushi dai and daiwa sushi lol. i tot of this as wellfound this hotel @ Tokyu Stay Higashi Ginza, Tsukiji only 65 m walk to the fish market but too bad, the first day i arrive at tokyo will be tue noon, if i stay at tat hotel, next day is 2nd wed of the month which means the fish market is closed |
