Enough if you very familar with Haneda Airport.
Depent on luck also...Let say you arrive around 10.30pm. If 10.30pm also got flight from Hawaii, Taipei , US , etc etc. Then the International Terminal will be very crowded. Specially the Custom check will be very slow. 70 % U will miss the last train at Shinagawa Station. From Haneda Airport take Airport Train: International Terminal to Shinagawa Station From Shinagawa Station you can change to Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station. This is the part i don't like taking Air Asia to Tokyo. If you really late then just taking the Airport Limousine bus to Tokyo Train Station. Speaking on Taxi
Be careful when getting into the taxi; the doors are automatic and operated by the taxi driver. Don't try to open or close them yourself! If the light's green they're occupied and red means it's free. (Hong Kong are opposite) The fares start at ¥710 for the first two kilometers, and the taximeter then adds ¥90 every 275 meters. At night, from 11pm, another 30% is added to the total fare. All major credit cards are expected |

QUOTE(kookaaq @ Feb 3 2012, 08:21 AM) Actually I am having dilemma as whether to choose between Nikko or Hakone too. I love both as each of them offers different experience but I can only choose one because of limited days in Tokyo. So confusing right now.. Nikko more simple city...just Onsen and beautiful mountain. ..more like natural tracking. If want more tourist sight then Hakone is more better. A picture of Mt Fuji is the Epic of this trip already. |

Going to Kamakura is very easy and very cheap. and very direct ~~
First you go to Tokyo Station...which just near to your HOtel. Then Take Yokosuka Line (Dark Blue) all the way down to Kamakura Station. Journey take around 2 hour plus. WIll crossing through Shinagawa Station then pass through Yokohama then pass through Ofuna then arrive. To Nikko: First from Tokyo Staton taking Yamanote Line to Ueno Station. At Ueno Station Taking Utsunomiya Line (Orange) to Utsunomiya Station. After Arrive Utsunomiya Station then change to Nikko Line to Nikko Station. (Nikko Line Terminal Station) Journey taking 1 hour 20 minute - 30 minute. Ok...Stimix..i want my present ok? My opinion...no need go so far away from Tokyo City. ..those hour can save to explored Tokyo City better. for going far away just keep one Hakone is enough. If really want go Hakone + Kamakura + Nikko....you need sacrifice the some shopping time. This post has been edited by RegentCid: Feb 3 2012, 12:17 PM |
