I got the info from here:
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2430.html (900yen) but earlier forumer got a specific rate of Yen800 b4 Midnite & Yen 1600 (Worry now) after midnite) What I mean is Horidome is 800 metre South of T-CAT. you can actually walk to the hotel. From wikimapia/googlemap Wth google earth pgin.. you can see clearly the 3D image of the messy flyovers above T-CAT. I suspect this is T-CAT. i.e below the flyovers beside Park Royal Chou-Ku. So I will use Park Royal as landmark & starting point and walk North (Wth handphone compass haha) towards the hotel QUOTE(Klesk @ Feb 3 2012, 11:45 AM) thanks for da reply haha. yeah i just saw you and another forumer booking da hotel. and the reviews on the net seems promising. how much is the limousine bus to T-CAT? and do they operate this late at night. i'm guessing for me if i reach haneda at 10:30pm and after immigration probably around 11:30pm. And when you say T-CAT, you're referring to this right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_City_Air_Terminal and what do you mean by 800M South of T-CAT? hmm thx again Added on February 3, 2012, 12:17 pmWahh..tnx.. QUOTE(RegentCid @ Feb 3 2012, 11:45 AM) Going to Kamakura is very easy and very cheap. and very direct ~~ First you go to Tokyo Station...which just near to your HOtel. Then Take Yokosuka Line (Dark Blue) all the way down to Kamakura Station. Journey take around 2 hour plus. WIll crossing through Shinagawa Station then pass through Yokohama then pass through Ofuna then arrive. To Nikko: First from Tokyo Staton taking Yamanote Line to Ueno Station. At Ueno Station Taking Utsunomiya Line (Orange) to Utsunomiya Station. After Arrive Utsunomiya Station then change to Nikko Line to Nikko Station. (Nikko Line Terminal Station) Journey taking 1 hour 20 minute - 30 minute. Ok...Stimix..i want my present ok? Added on February 3, 2012, 12:28 pmBTW.. What things cheaper to buy in Tokyo compare to KL and what are the recommended malls to visit? This post has been edited by stimix: Feb 3 2012, 12:28 PM |

I saw Yen trading at 39.80 on Sunday at Money changers in front of Starbuck BB Plaza & 40.0 at Mid Valley LG ctr court. Elsewhere in Puchong ~ 40.20-40.4...The best rate - BB Plaza area

Try to use your handphone inbuilt compass and Park Roayal hotel as guidance. That's the tallest buiding surrounding T-CAT from google earth 3D view. Thereafter on the front of the hotel walk North. but not from the point B from your link. At point B it shows 1.1km walk but from the front side of Park Royal ~ 800 m only
After simulation between Horidome Villa & Tokyo train station, distance only 1.7km and 20min walk...haha..can cosnider walking to Tokyo st too..but this one lotsa streets..most probably lost withyout a GPS for sure haha QUOTE(Klesk @ Feb 3 2012, 05:06 PM) i think i saw it . The T-CAT is under the flyover right. This post has been edited by stimix: Feb 4 2012, 07:51 AMhttp://maps.google.com.my/maps?saddr=%E6%9...z=17&via=1&z=21 but hmm walking at midnight. seems like the road is quite straight but scared get lost niah. |

I'm also going there this coming Mar Holiday for a 7D5N in Tokyo. (Haha.. 2 days spending on plane alone! actual full day of Holidaying only 5days. Flight ticket (RM530/pax return AAX) & Hotels ((RM1075 /5 nites) paid earlier.
I'm budgeting this ground for 3 person: 1) Food (RM200/day/3pax X5 = RM1000 2) Transport - Mostly Subways & buses (RM1000 for 3) 3) Misc souvenirs, entrance & etc (Cash) - RM1,000 4) Expensive entrance (Maybe Disneyland?? / Uniglo/fashions ~ RM500 via Credit card - Still KIV) So I'm thinking bringing only ~ RM3,500 cash only for this trp |

Not enough just top-up-lah..7000yen actually budgetted till Hakone only
I hv posted few links on pg one esp on fare calculation & also regentcid suggestion on how to goto Nikko & Kamasutra..opss kamakura QUOTE(kookaaq @ Feb 8 2012, 01:13 PM) stimix, can i know how you want to get to hakone, kamakura and nikko and budget within 7000yen? are you taking hakone free pass and nikko free pass? for travel within tokyo, i also budget within 5000yen for 1 week but not inclusive of cost for nikko trip. a return trip to nikko cost about 2000yen from asakusa station using tobu line while a nikko free pass cost around 4400yen and you can travel freely within nikko area using their bus network system. as for hakone, a 2 day freepass cost around 5000yen from shinjuku station to hakone but taking normal trip to odawara itself already cost more than 3000yen one way. |

[ay full but very reliable. Infact most online booking you need to pay full on the spot.. Be warned..agoda might not be the cheapest in Tokyo.. I found out hotel.com cheaper there. booking.com also not bad

Haha, Only girls/ladies worried about fashion.. Similar questions also posted in Seoul/Korea thread.
Just wear as you like-lah.. In Seoul you will be surprise how simple are the Korean dressed during the winter. Much simple than Chinese mainland or Taiwanese.. Jean, sport shoe/leather shoes + down jacket. For those richer folks probably high heel winter boots & etc...But hi-heel winter boot so common in Taiwan & Pearl river deltas but not so in Seoul..they are so down to earth style..So I think Japan should be even simple and almost similar to Seou from those winter photos posted here... |

From earlier post by regentcid, you can see liao..just spot the far blur images of those ladies in thick down jacket, common thick jeans & sport shoe (I can see one wth white)...just like common Seoul view during winter.. no need fashion fashion haha. It just reminded me of my last trip to Seoul, when local M'sian very stylish hi-heel winter boot anf full winter fashion but when I stepped down in Seoul..most of the folks there wearing so simple haha..Those tourist/M'sian are the one really odd
