Hi guys, about the visa application...are we compulsory need to submit the following documentation to them?

1. Original passport
2. One (1) visa application form (downloadable)
3. One (1) photo (4.5cm x 4.5cm) with white background which is taken within 6 month from the visa application and must be pasted on the application form
4. IItinerary in Japan (downloadable) and for transit purpose, copy of visa to the main destination (USA, CANADA, etc)
5. Employment certificate stating your position, department in the company and length of service(using the company letterhead)
*If you are a sole proprietor/partner/owner of the company, you need to submit a copy of  your business registration
*For those who are not working: a self explanatory letter stating how expenses will be borne, name and relationship of person(s) accompanying (if any)
6. Personal savings, latest current account statement, fixed deposit, Tabung Haji or Amanah Saham Berhad (ASB) (original certified true copy by the bank) (need to show the applicant’s name as the account owner, account number and current balance)
7. Copy of marriage certificate (spouse) or birth certificate (children) to show proof of relationship between the main applicant and the person(s) accompanying

if not mistaken, last 2 years my parent did visa application through tour agency and they could get it quick and easy without submitting like employment letter, copy of marriage bla bla bla
*
I just applied my VISA on last Wednesday, and going to collect later afternoon.

If you travel in group on tour agency, the tour agency can settle easily for you. If you travel on your own, such as free and easy by Air Asia, you need to submit all the item 1 to 7. For bank statement, either savings or FD will do.

Anyone just got back from Tokyo? Is the weather now like Genting or hotter? Leaving to Tokyo next week tongue.gif

Sure Eric, PM me after June once I back from the trip and do a complete itinerary compilation.

My coming trip will cover Tokyo, Hakone, Osaka and Kyoto in 10 nights. Itinerary includes recommended hotel with rate (near station), transportation, travel pass and attraction rclxms.gif

Anyway, anyone know where can get the best rate for Yen now? Visited 3 exchangers in Kepong area, all running out of stocks rclxub.gif So far the rate I got is between 38.8 to 39.0 (although no stocks)

August....Japan hottest season....hell gate ...plus Japan shutting down Nuclear plant in progress.....don't expecting will aircorn in Hotel 24 hour.
Everywhere will power shortage. Including trains. During Power Shortage period...the Train service will be out of Service for few hour until the Cycle to other section. ( Example Tokyo seperate into 4 section : North , East , South , West. each Section will be out of power 6 hour. )

In Summer Japan are electrical usage highest peak time...due to shutting down nuclear plant Fukushima and Shizouka ....there will not enough power to supply to demand. Whole Japan will be into this situation.

Sure it will effect the journey...even affect millions of Japanese. last year after quake...Japan starter this method of control power......really Sux to maximum.

Like my destination are Shinjuku ( west side of Tokyo) When West side is down for 6 hour...ttally no train to Shinjuku , Harajuku , Ikebukuro etc etc....... When North Turn....no train can go ueno ...Nikko...etc etc...Nikko down....totally effect thousand of tourist.

Buses and taxi profit to maximum. My suggestion are...Study the Bus route !!!! You really needed

Since you already hv the benchmark, either change there or compare wth those closer than you.. remember, Mid Valley parking, fuel cost of going there & etc might not be viable if the diff between MV & your place just .02 to .04 diff..
