Export all those specialist to Singapore and Thailand. In the future we will need to go across the border for specialist. This gonna save Government Health budget as no more paying low fee for specialist in Government Hospital.

Hehehe...dun worry lah. Luckily, only UM and UKM medical qualifications are recognised in Singapore. And they must have studied on-site at the main campus of those two universities too. They must then pass MCCQE and be registered with Singapore Medical Council before they can serve as housemen there.

Medical degrees from other Malaysian universities are not recognised in Singapore....maybe regarded as not good??

I remember former Universiti Malaya (UM) medical faculty dean Prof Datuk Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman said in 2023 to the media at least 30 of UM medical graduates per year choose to go to Singapore annually. Singapore doesn't even have to try to poach these people- the medical grads go because there are no vacancies for houseman training in local hospitals, and no clear career path in Malaysia.

It costs RM1 million to train one new doctor.

UK and Australia are also destinations for Malaysian medical graduates.
