Hi guys,

I've been sourcing for a toyota harrier and came across a seller with stock at JB.

The price is significantly lower than the ones in KL market.. about Rm10k cheaper.

I have checked on Scrut using the chasis number and the report came back tally.

The seller is okay to send the car to KL for inspection and then need to drive back to JB to clear custom tax and then bring back again, reason being it is using JB AP.

Just hope to gather your opinions.. is this how things go normally?

And is it normal that JB recond cars to be much cheaper..

Anyrhinf I need to be careful about? Really need all your advices.. thanks!

Just make sure seller is able to provide documentation like JK69, import duty receipt, etc.

I think the reason being some of them are actually SG cars which is nearing or exceeded the 10 years limit that was imposed by SG government. The security boss (providing security for my workplace) driving around a SG BMW that he bought cheap and not sure what hanky panky he did (whether he didnt declare and just bought the car as it is). He would park his car in my office compound and only drove the car on weekend

Agree, i suspect mostly is Singapore car. Johor there are famous for doing a lot of conversion cars from Singapore to Malaysia, legally and not legal way also. Non legal way = clone cars, legal way go thru JPJ/Miti, pay all the tax & AP.
