Many of the threads here is asking about pre-employment things like pay, benefits, culture, and doing due diligence before joining a company.

I specifically want to ask regarding post hiring.
After successfully hired into your current job, how are things down the line 3/6 months later as a new hire?

1. Did the job match your expectation before joining?
2. How accurate are the reviews of glassdoor matching your own experience in the new job?
3. Is your onboarding smooth? Did they guide or train you?
4. Anyone whose job / environment does not turn out as expected / mismatched, what did you do? Are you jumping ship again?


As for me, I am in consulting line. There are 2 things concerning me right now.

1. 4 months after joining, my company is now getting bought by another PE. I was worried about getting the axe, there's a lot of uncertainty and anxious feeling now.
2. Initially they sent me for training but after that I was getting benched for almost 3 months now. Asked manager but they told me assignments will come soon. I dont know what to do.
