DIY flight stick to full hand throttle input conversion.

While waiting my budget for VKBsim getting full hotas i decided to pick another identical cheap secondhand Logitech Exreme 3D Pro from facebook seller then did a DIY conversion to full hand throttle input for my left hand control. Mod the gimbal to Y axis for throttle (locking the X-axis), swap rudder axis to Y-axis pot sensor for throttle bcos X/Y axis pot sensor not working if either one is idle. Then remove the big center spring that holds the joystick. Use RC truck long stroke hydraulic shocks as controllable friction slider to provide smooth Y-axis throttle movement when push by hand. The results it felt nice feeling and more ergonomic throttle input than my friends Logitech X56 throttle hotas. Played my modded throttle stick on MSFS2024, X-plane 12 and Elite dangerous and it felt really good, accurate control and more immersive feeling.
