Fuh, flight simulator.... I remember I played the flight simulator 98 till 2000 at my friend's house.

Now we've lost contact, last I heard he's a real pilot now while I'm just a plumber...

I used to fly Ms flight 98 too on Pentium MMX 166Mhz during college days, 16MB ram. Very nostalgic. Also flown old Janes F18, DID Euro Fighter and TFX F22. Good times!
Nowadays MSFS its very realistic with realtime air traffic, weather and etc. Come join us fly bro.

btw I played IL-2 Battle For Stalingrad I guess much more things to do there fight other planes rather than just sight seeing

of course graphics a bit dated and not as good as Microsoft latest Flight Sim which I also have but uninstalled to make space for my StasyQVR stash

Microsoft Flight Simulator group fun flight: Friday, 07 Jun 2024

Come join our fun group flight. Below are the flight plan and requirements:

+ Destination route: WMKP (Penang International Airport) >> WMKA (Sultan Abdul Halim Airport).
+ Date: Fri, 07 Jun 2024.
+ Time: 9pm evening (UTC/GMT+8) Malaysia time.
+ Gathering area: Airport parking space.
+ Extra waiting time before departure: 10 minutes.
+ Nature of flight: VFR - Flying under 400m~900m above sea level/low altitude sight seeing.
+ Type of aircraft/Recomended Cruise Speed: Lightweight STOL proppeller plane. Cruise speed = 126 KTA. (Eg: Cessna 172, NXCub or equivalent).
+ Lead plane to follow: Pilot name: cptt****ne).

Live online setting:
+ Online server region selection: South East Asia.
+ Multiplayer setting: All Player.
+ Weather and time setting: Live.
+ Show traffic nameplates: Enable (So we can see pilots attendance).

All pilot are welcome. Nothing serious or formal about this group convoy flight, just enjoy, have fun and get to know each other while in the air.
*Note: If you're late to the scene you can still catch up with us. Look out for our traffic name plates (enable it) on the horizon view.

* No VATSIM. Normal MSFS.
* PC and XBOX are welcome.

I play infinite flight

Starting up my favorite "balik kampung" plane. The De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter in MSFS2024. My ultimate dream to operate and fly one of this childhood plane (via MASWING) used to travel to deep rural village.

DIY flight stick to full hand throttle input conversion.

While waiting my budget for VKBsim getting full hotas i decided to pick another identical cheap secondhand Logitech Exreme 3D Pro from facebook seller then did a DIY conversion to full hand throttle input for my left hand control. Mod the gimbal to Y axis for throttle (locking the X-axis), swap rudder axis to Y-axis pot sensor for throttle bcos X/Y axis pot sensor not working if either one is idle. Then remove the big center spring that holds the joystick. Use RC truck long stroke hydraulic shocks as controllable friction slider to provide smooth Y-axis throttle movement when push by hand. The results it felt nice feeling and more ergonomic throttle input than my friends Logitech X56 throttle hotas. Played my modded throttle stick on MSFS2024, X-plane 12 and Elite dangerous and it felt really good, accurate control and more immersive feeling.
