Anyone can confirm there's some compatibility issues when using Huawei 5G CPE or devices (Only Balong Chipset based) when connected to DNB's Ericsson 5G network?

The upload speed will be throttled real bad until can only obtain few megabits and unstable downloads.

Like in this video:

The upload speeds for the Huawei modem is very erratic and slow only few megabits despite the modem is full fledged 5G model using Hi-Silicon Balong chipset.

Whether you're using U Mobile, YES, CelcomDiGi, Maxis all will see the same effect because under same DNB wholesale infra with Ericsson equipment.

How are your upload speeds? Do you get good speed? Or always only few Mbps?

Can help provide more details? Such as which ISP you're using? Is your modem IMEI modded with different firmware from official Huawei's?

I detected that when I'm using stock firmware with original IMEI with Huawei's CPE or whenever I connect via WiFi to a Huawei tablet/phone , my connections especially upload gets throttled real bad.

Upload speed will not even reach 10mbps despite full bar signal. When I turn off my Huawei device connected to the router(non Huawei) my speed will return to normal.

It's like DNB Ericsson core switching totally banned or throttle Huawei devices/CPE modems whenever it detects on on their network.

So far this is noticeable with Umobile and Yes 5G plans.

ZTE devices seem fine, only Huawei devices has issues.

Nope my modem is fine, just that when I connect my Huawei device via WiFi to the modem/router, the carrier network detects its IMEI/MAC straight gets throttled.
All my other devices connected to the same router also gets throttled.

When I turn off my Huawei device(tablet with Hi-Silicon Balong chipset), reset my unmodded modem all returns normal.

Is DNB implementing Huawei IMEI/MAC blanket blocking across their network with all member telcos?

This I'm interested to know.

Upload will become very slow <10Mbps like in the video. You place the SIM into another non Huawei Balong chipset modem at the same spot reconnect all will be fine upload can reach >50Mbps.

I look at all the sellers online, all the Huawei 5G modem most will only show their download speeds under the review, this may mean it's common issue?

Interesting topic...

I wanna subscribe 5G broadband from either YES or UM. Is their stock router good enough? Personally I only use the modem feature and will connect to a separate router for WiFi functionality.

I do have a contract 5G broadband with Celcom but only for office usage. The stock MC810A is kinda ok, but the wifi is not stable thus which lead me to disable the wifi and connect it with TPLINK X50 instead.
