Is it necessary to paint the whole unit with the same colour?

It's internal, no one can stop you from painting all your walls black or pink. Or whatever color palette of your choice. You just can't touch common area.

And your question is odd. If it's new, why are you asking about painting THE WHOLE UNIT with same color? It's new. You repaint with same color if you're renovating and some hacking or touch up works are required.

dont want headache dont paint, leave it white color cos a few years later normally there will be a crack line in the wall ...
if white, just buy those wall/crack filler to fill it up but if different color then u need to paint the whole wall again

Depends on whether the condition you are able to accept or not.
Usually, if it isn't too bad, there is no need to repaint again.

I gotten quotation from ID, and having painting works for whole unit. I doubt that I need as no hacking involved lol
