Hi guys, i have had a few incoming call from this number +60 3 5037 8025. Voice automated, it asks a few question, like where i vote and so on. In Malay, i always hang up.

Just wondering if anyone else have had this call. Is it the government launching a survey or is it a secam !! But its land line.

verified in trucaller as scammers. they call me everyday too but the app instantly blocks them.

I never pick up calls. They can always send me email or message or WhatsApp me.

Agree. If it's important enough, there'll be a human being at the end of the other line...

But beware, sometimes, that human being is also a scammer!

Scammer la . Government got no time to call u . Most they do is sent SMS or direct letter to ur registered address .

Call you with automated voice always a scam la. Doesn't matter land line or mobile

Just curious, why don’t you pick up? I pick up calls. The only ones i dont pick up are if i know whos on the other line and i dont want to talk for whatever.

Picking up calls is the start of disaster. Read all headlines.

When you pick up calls. They're all prepared and you aren't. You won't have time to react. This is ambush. Like predator and prey game.

And with AI. Just for you to say hello or a few words, they can fake your voice then create calls to your family members seeking ransom. It's so real your family members may fall into trap.

Also some calls charge money to your bills.

Not picking up calls removes all possible threats I've stated above.

I usually then check the numbers to ascertain where it's from. If safe, then I'll initiate call back.

It’s gotten so bad that I make my bank relationship managers call me twice (for voice log transactions, they have to call from an office landline, so I don’t have that number stored on my phone as it changes) - first on their handphones which I do have their numbers recorded, then, again from the official office landline in quick succession, to confirm my order via voice log.

I can’t afford to take the risk of falling prey to a scam call!

I guess im an ignoramus then or ignorance is bliss for me. But ive set up some doors for my banking needs and i find them sufficient for the time being. But thanks on the insight opened my eyes a bit

100% of victims who got scammed pick up calls. 100% of people who didn't get scammed didn't pick up calls.

older people especially, bored and lonely, more likely to pick up calls, whoever the person is. kasihan them

scammers target your two weak point: 1. fear of authority, and 2. sense of urgency.

so they will always show themselves higher than you - pulis, macc, custom officer, then you takut, good! now proceed to need to follow every instruction set by them - transfer money right now, right away. what do you do? of course listen to them. see how you suddenly become a prey without you realizing it.

PSA don't wish to see more people get scammed.
