I just moved to a high rise building near Ipoh, bringing my old CP500 router (from shopee) with me.
There is absolutely no 5G indoors here, maybe due to the building walls design (i have walls protruding outwards from my windows).
I get 5G on my phone when I am outside in Ipoh, but not when i'm home.

I have tried YES 5G, Umobile 5G broadband, and Maxis broadband. All get 4G LTE on my phone and my CP500 router too.
PS : the CP500 router was working fine last time in klang valley. ~80% time connected to 5G with speeds 80 - 130 Mbps

Another shopee seller recommended me ZLT X28 specially for areas with poor signal reception. How legit is this? And do you have any better recommendations for my current situation? Thanks!

I think most likely you won't be able to get any 5G signal still.

Better get a Huawei B618 4G modem with strongest signal, and see if you can get anything more than 50mbps.

very big oof. 4G can get more than 50mbps?
My CP500 router now always finding IP for 30-40 seconds every time it detects 5G, then loses the 5G less than a minute later, then finding IP again.
I'm connected to internet like only 50% of the router uptime here.
