One factor is losing weight; and eating less saturated fat.
Like what other posters said; you can eat less refined carbohydrates.

QUOTE(rayeonlee @ Dec 19 2024, 12:24 AM) Sometimes those having high cholesterol may already have an ideal BMI. As for saturated fat, agreed but do also increase your good cholesterol intake The BMI range should be Asian BMI. +1 on the refined carbs as for medication, it is highly recommended to seek professional advice, with online advice being a supplement to your inquiries bro cheers https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/artic...140673603152683 Another thing, the BMI is the population normal distribution and may not necessarily apply to an individual case. One can be at the higher end of the "ideal BMI" and still have health issues. I am a big fan of the personal fat hypothesis by Prof Roy Taylor. Though his work applies to T2 diabetes, it can be applied here. Anyway, the best advice is to work with a medical doctor as a team to manage OP's cholesterol. There may be family history and medication may be necessary. Regardless, it is best also to have a healthy lifestyle, eat lots of vegies and fruits, reduce refined carbs and saturated fat. And exercise almost everyday. This post has been edited by ChessRook: Dec 19 2024, 10:23 AM rayeonlee liked this post
