Hi guys, I had my brake rotor, brake pad and calliper changed in December 2023.
Since the day I changed those part , the brake seemed spongy and need longer distance to stop.
Fast forward to this month, the car starts to shake whenever step on brake to traffic stop or manoeuvre to a parking spot. The brake would seemed to release itself and choke the car forward. Fuel consumption is double also.
Mechanic advised to change spark plug and idle valve so I changed both of them. But the problem persists.
Now they asked me to change my brake booster and see how it goes.
Anyone got such experience?

QUOTE(matrix88 @ May 3 2024, 11:50 AM) vacuum hose not connected properly Thanks for your help bro. Can I connect it myself? Is it easy? Or need mechanics to do? The current workshop insist in brake booster which I see less people have this component rosak..

QUOTE(techjack @ May 3 2024, 11:57 AM) "the car starts to shake whenever step on brake to traffic stop" This symptom usually means your brake disc may be warped or out of shape. This happened to me before when i tried to save money and bought dirt cheap unbranded brake disc and pads. But after using for 6 months car would shake when braking. Dirt cheap brake pads had no bite and was spongy. Suggest you find a mechanic who can check the disc and pads. Thanks for such detailed explanation and sharing Will try other mechanics to check the brakes. I bought the brake disc and pad off from Shopee. Tried my best to find genuine and eventually paid extra but yet problem came in now.. The mechanics said if only rotor or brake bad got problem then rpm won’t stop. Keep saying it’s brake booster. Yours after change brake pad and rotor; problem solved?
