Singapore have more racial and religious riots than Malaysia or Malaya.
Against Muslim, Indians, Catholics and other minority Chinese groups.
The most recent ones is on 2013 which injures 60 people.
The deadliest one was 480 killed with Catholic Chinese.

Mind sharing the news? I'm curious .. haha ..

google "Riot in Singapore" and look at the Wiki list
*
The one happened in 2013 is due to accident rather than your so called proclaimed "race" riot.

On the other hand, I couldn't find any on the Catholic Chinese.

Perhaps, I'm just bad a googling. Please share .. hehe

Dei .. during the 19th century, Singapore is not even a country yet. Please cite a recent case to support your point. I was really hoping to see the racial tension in singapore comparing it to malaysia.

If we don't control the reasons for discontent between races in Malaysia,
anything from a simple road accidents to land trespassing will incite a racial altercations.

Remember the incident with Hindu temple and the bomba guy?

Yes I agree, but do you see it transcend beyond that? No, right?

But in malaysia we are hearing strong echos everyday coming out from politicians, without repercussions. So, do they do it in singapore? Hence, the tie, certainly does not do justice to how Singapore as a country in term of that.

Freedom of Speech. Malaysia
Hahaha....According to the government, former attorney general Tan Sri Tommy Thomas's book titled My Story: Justice in the Wilderness has 19 key issues that warrant "further attention".
Malaysiakini found guilty, fined RM500,000, over readers’ comments left on their website. Then there are individuals charged with abuse of power for millions and billions who are walking free.
Crackhouse Comedy Club closed down.
Jocelyn Chia an American did a show in America and caused a fit here.
So much for freedom of speech....hehe..

Buying Power. Singapore

Affordable property. Malaysia
Affordable to who?? With the "strength" of the ringgit, we can't afford anything these days. Haha…92% of Singaporeans own their homes, 72% of Malaysians own their homes.)

Security. Singapore

Low taxes. Malaysia
Malaysia income tax: 0-30%, Singapore income tax: 0-22%. enuff said.

Workers rights. Singapore

Democracy. Malaysia
They vote, we vote. we have numerous corrupt politicians every election. And some are outright fighting for one race and one religion only. US came up with Donald Trump. UK shot their own foot by leaving the EU. Netherlands and Sweden have far-right parties which are xenophobic and racist. I’ll take SG anytime.

Public Transportation. Singapore

Personal transportation. Malaysia
What’s personal transportation? Car ownership?? Bicycles? COE is based on quota…SG car demand is high, which leads to very high COE in recent months there.
We are forced to buy cars because public transportation is in a mess, then forced to sit in cars for hours on end because of endless congestion. every 24 seconds, one person dies on the road. The economy and the environment suffers due to lost man-hours, and the amount of emissions from fuel consumption.

Racism and Ignorance. Tied
Hahaha…bumiputra rights already place one race above others in the constitution!

All I can say is, Singapore is safe, efficient but expensive to stay. HDB is really expensive nowadays, with those rich PRs (PRCs to be specific) buying them at millions.

In malaysia, I feel poor working as my job does not pay me the right amount, well I would say I'm under appreciated as a researcher in malaysia. Safety? Crime-wise, I was always wary of being ambushed by thieves, had once that someone broke my windshield just to take my mums handbag. Racial, I was taunted by Princes several times, as I live in an area filled with them. I have a house, and a car but to get to work, even a simple 10 mins drive could take me an hour to reach during peak hours. Oh well.

Living in both countries, I could judge the difference. I was once thinking to be loyal to my own country, but I was sold after years in singapore. Lol .. they always say do not bite the master who feed you. To me, I felt I was oppressed in my own country, but appreciated by others. How do you expect talents to not leave malaysia?

Ooohhh, suddenly it's a loose term.

Which policy in (1) that is oppressive? Against who?

The rest is really taken out from your ass, as those aren't even against their own citizen, or used anecdotes rather than actual proven facts.
*
Policy is oppressive because it should be given free for all, shouldn't have a ratio based on race, that is very unfair! Just like here .. we need 51% bumi for every business!

But, the rest of the things he stated, may be true, Singapore will never have other race to be PM. Oh wait, even in malaysia no other race will be PM, at least in singapore they wayang to have president of different races. How about malaysia? When can we have someone to wayang at the top ah?
