Hey guys,

A lot of people have been asking me why their sports car comes with 2 different tire sizes. So I decided to make a video to explain.

Let me know what you guys think and want to see more about tires.

Actually, the previous 991 generation of the 911 had equal size tires.

It's only starting with the 992 generation that the fronts are an inch smaller than the rear. My GTS has massive 20" fronts and even bigger 21" rears... fatter and wider....

Having said that, the 21” tyres are crazy expensive to replace if that day ever comes…

Thanks bro. The car is nearly a year old. I just don’t drive it very often as I actually have to rotate between 4 cars (2 in Singapore and 2 in Sydney) and wife hates the 911 so she prefers to sit in any of the other 2 Porsches or the S Class instead.

I love my 992 but it’s wife’s least loved item in my garage

'have to rotate between 4 cars' sounds like a chore, I'm willing to help with that

I can let you know how much lifespan for the tyres, too

For a small car like the 911, it's positively an overkill...

Large SUVs have vastly larger visual mass on the side view and massive wheel arches. You would need at least 21" wheels, preferably 22s otherwise the car looks really weird.
