Hi,

In Bursa, which are good dividend stocks suitable for long term investment?

Maybank?

Depends on what you want. Dividend growth or stagnant dividend. There are only 2 counters that caught my eye. Tried using 2 different screener and both appear on my screener. My only beef is ringgit is weak. I will never keep any ringgit.

If you ask Ramjade he would probably advise you to consider stock markets elsewhere….

Of course.

Oh, I agree with you! I’m. I am no where nearly as extreme or hardcore as bro Ramjade … although what he says has taught me a lot!

In my case, the bulk of my investments are in Singapore where I am based. I’d imagine a Malaysian resident would do well to have some money parked where he’s staying too.
*
I did? I dont think I taught anyone anything. I am just ranting on what I am doing myself to be honest.

The best dividend stock in Bursa with track record of more than 10 years consistent growing dividend are low profile company like UCHITEC, HLIND,  FPI,  LPI,  SUNREIT,  IGBREIT.

All the stock above performed better than MAYBANK over the past 10 years.

Nice. Let me throw in 1 of my companies utdplt

why maybank out?
*
Cause Singapore banks returns are superior than Maybank. Only bank can match Singapore banks is public bank.

MAYBANK performance is better than PBB in the past 10 years.

I don't hold Malaysian banks. Only counter I have is United plantations. That one if it drops to around 17, I am adding again.

Do you invest in other plantations stock also?

How do you calculate the RM17 benchmark?
*
I don't hold any other plantation stock. Why buy lesser quality companies when you can buy the best?

RM17 is my buying price. Yes I have price anchor bias.

What about FPI?
*
Revenue dropping despite negative debt. You can pay dividend if you got money coming in. If your revenue keep dropping eventually need to use savings. Savings drain then what next?

Utd plantation I bought at rm 15 last year

Sell all at RM 25 few months ago
Hong Leong industries entry price RM 8.90 still holding as I see they have net cash per share of RM 5
Possible for special dividend

For dividend stock always look into whether do the company giving out more dividend yoy
*
I still holding and looking to add more should it retrace to 25.
