QUOTE(nasiputih @ Apr 29 2024, 09:03 PM) can rephrase the "biscuit factory owner kills cats as his hobby" example? Hmmm. "kill cats" offense is not equal to modifying a stock image and address listing a mall (which is normal to locate offices). The owner is not ethical in the way he is promoting his company. I dont like it, so i dont buy. |

QUOTE(JohnL77 @ Aug 28 2024, 10:55 PM) I've made 2 orders so far with VR Global Trading. 1st order was Motul 7100 and Sprinta F900. Then got big discount so I bought Liqui Moly, Silkolene Pro, Mapetrol and Sprinta F900 again. Sprinta F900 and Motul 7100 both very smooth?I don't know original or not. The Motul I bought from Hollywood Motorsport had the QR code that was authenticated by the app, but the Motul I bought from VR Global don't have the QR code. But so far I've used the Sprinta F900 and I'm currently using the Motul 7100. Very smooth and acceleration very sedap. This one for racing la. |

QUOTE(JohnL77 @ Aug 28 2024, 11:16 PM) Sprinta F900 very smooth up to 2000km after that noticeably less smooth. Changed it around 2500km. 10W40 (from Petronas official store) and 10W50 (from VR Global) felt the same. I see. I might try sprinta f900 then. Buy from petrol station very expensive? The Motul I bought from Hollywood Motosport that had the QR code was the H-Tech. This one was smooth all the way to 3000km. Currently testing the Motul 7100 bought from VR Global (no QR code). If ester blend doesn't feel smooth up to 3000km, I'll go back to H-Tech. But out of the 3, I feel 7100 gives the best acceleration. My 135LC has been flying. |

QUOTE(JohnL77 @ Aug 28 2024, 11:45 PM) Price difference more than RM20. Lol jangan la salahkan the Bold EO Last time I bought Shell Power from petrol station because Grab gives discount to riders. Then Shell increased the price by RM20 so I started buying from Shopee. I've been using EO bought from Shopee for about 50,000km including your Bold EO. That day I thought your Bold EO broke my engine. Turns out the carburetor needed cleaning. After cleaning everything feels ok. Fingers crossed. So how are u going to rate all the engine oil u tried? Or some couldnt feel any difference? Can give me the link of the Sprinta F700 to buy? |

QUOTE(JohnL77 @ Aug 31 2024, 01:33 AM) I still have 1L Bold 15w50. I guess I should give it another try since the dirty carburetor might have affected the performance. But the 10w40 really only smooth until 1000km and then starts feeling rough. I tried that one long before the carburetor needed cleaning. I see I see.. After reading I wanted to try Shell Power next, but then I realized it doesn't have w40 weight Sprinta F900 and Shell Power seems to be OOS in their respective Shopee Official Stores. Go petrol station buy I guess. Ratings: Yamalube - Shiiiiieeeet... Sometimes smooth sometimes rough. Only reason I'm willing to use this oil until 2500km is because of the Yamaha brand. Used this oil for like my bike's first 40,000km then I realized Grab gave discount for Shell EO. Bold - First 100km gear change from 2nd to 3rd felt rough after that ok. Engine feel smooth up to 1,000km then it starts to feel rough. I don't dare use past 1,500km. Quickly change it when hit 1,500km. Shell Long Ride - Really smooth all the way to 3,000km like the back of the bottle promises. But acceleration is lacking. When I pull the throttle the bike doesn't respond immediately. I can feel the engine spinning up but it's not translating to acceleration. Shell Power - the first EO that convinced me EO can make acceleration better. It's been a while since I used this because it got expensive so I decided to try other brands like Petronas and Motul. Sprinta F900 - Smooth up to 2,000km then it starts feeling less smooth. Acceleration better than Shell Long Ride I guess. Motul H-Tech - Smooth all the way to 3,000km and acceleration better than Shell Long Ride. Motul 7100 - Currently testing. Already more than 1,000km. Smoothness started to feel inconsistent after 1,000km but I feel the acceleration is the best out of all the EO I've used. I am using 10w40 oil for my kawasaki ninja 250. So far I used a few types of oils. Sprinta F500 10w40 semi - smooth until I changed it at 2000km. Kawasaki semi 10w40 - smooth until I changed it at 2000km. Top speed lesser, usually I can reach 165, with this oil 155 only.. Silkolene Pro 4 10w40 fully - smoother than sprinta and kawasaki semi. Changed at 2000km. Best so far. Bold 10w40 fully - like u, gear change rough for I think first 60km? Very weird. Smooth until now but havent reach 2000km, but definitely over 1000km. Actually I'm thinking of changing my oils to our local Malaysia brand Hipro. I wanna try their best oil Hipro VeltorQ V9 5w40 ester + Pao oil for my civic type R and their motoz M9 10w40 ester + Pao for my ninja. Apparently their motor oil very well accepted in Bangladesh but not in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Aug 28 2024, 11:25 PM) Too many fake oil in MY market especially those pricey one. Having bought and compare Syntium 3000E engine oil from Mesra and compare with the 2 that I bought from shopee/lazada, I think can confirm Mesra is new oil whereas others are recycled oil. It's actually quite easy to get recycled engine oil... hiap huat is one of them. May i know which 2 sellers selling u the fake oil? |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Aug 31 2024, 07:16 PM) One bought from Vanli (lazada) who insist theirs is grey import or something... another is in shopee... Vanli also fake ah? I thought a lot of ktards recommended vanli. How u received any fake ones from official seller? Because now the trend im buying any oil is going to official sellers only no matter the brand. Except maybe those at tesco, giant, lotusBoth seal dont have hologram whereas the one I bought prior from Mesra (3months or so earlier) has hologram. |

QUOTE(JohnL77 @ Sep 1 2024, 04:51 PM) Their 4T price same with Motul H-Tech sold by Hollywood Motorsports (got QR code). But Hipro promo buy 1 free 1 mineral oil lol. I will stick with official stores online or at lotus/giant oils during promo for now. Too many fake oils..My mechanic said the Motul 7100 I bought from VR Global Trading looks and smells the same as original. Same color. I don't think color proves authenticity. It can be a difference in the dye. VR Global Trading claims some got QR code some don't have depending on the country's distributor that they import from. Tak tau la. |

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Nov 15 2024, 11:52 AM) Damm ts. Ahahahaha. Yes bold is good and cheap actually. But i dont like their dodgy-ness in the address, trying to cheat ppl like that. So I just changed to bold for the first time. Bought months earlier then ts say he abandoning bold. But comparing with my 10k km old engine old that I replaced, bold is quite smooth. I can’t compare anything way earlier. I actually when to another workshop for specialist advice and did a test drive and he was saying how smooth my old car is (not engine oil specifically per se but overall) But horrrrr, i see their bold atas they changed the formula already. Last time is pao + ester. Now is pao + osp. Looks interesting.. at least they innovating for improvements if its true. ![]() |

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Nov 15 2024, 03:42 PM) I got another bottle of other brand engine oil. Which I bought before I bought the bold one. So it will be at least about 2 years from now before I need to bother what will be my next engine oil 😄 U changed your engine oil once a year ah? Mileage? I changed mine every 3-4 months when it reaches 5000km. |

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Nov 15 2024, 05:13 PM) 10k km lor. its about 10-11 months. but since first time bold, i will monitor closer after 5k. May i suggest u change the old every 7k km instead to maintain your engine's health?its a 13 years old city. so far condition still good. i think now its 160k ++km Its been proven 10k km oil change, no matter the oil will slowly deteriorate the engine. Only thing the car manufacturer recommends 10k km oil change because it helps in promoting low maintenance cost on the cars they are selling and the car usually will be able to last till 9 years with 10k km oil change. Note that most car manufacturers do not think oil consumption of 1L engine oil of every old change is considered a defect. cempedaklife liked this post

QUOTE(ry8128 @ Dec 27 2024, 08:29 PM) Proven? Where's your data? My car has been servicing 10k km for more than a decade, no issue at all. No scientific statistical data, but the data or proof that i got are from engine builders. Some engines came in with full servicing from SC with the recommended mileage intervals but when open up there are some sludge in critical parts of the engine and generally more wears compared to those that changes oil earliers. Not sayang your engine will rosak, just it will wear out faster.Prime suspect is the carbon buildup around the piston rings and oil return galeries on the piston which finally will cause the rings to jammed and slowly wear out cylinder walls after few k kms. Even world expert japan engine builders says so. Again, if u wan to use your car for the manufacturers intended use timespan/ mileage, then no problem your car will last till then if u follow strictly their recommendations. But if u wan to keep it longer and sayang your engine then change earlier. ------- To add on, not all cars will experience the same wear. It fully depends on usage also like if the car always long distance and doesnt get stuck in traffic, these generally have the lowest wears. However those with over 10k km oil changes will have higher risk of developing carbons even when the owners care for the car, as shown by many engine builders when they open up to inspect the engines. 5k km oil changes have no carbon build up issues if taken care of right. QUOTE(ry8128 @ Dec 27 2024, 09:48 PM) In summary, no data la, just talk only. They are showing it based on their experiences, in videos too. Ok, i give you benefits of doubt, i assume what your engine builder say is true. So why change 5k? Why not 3k? 2k? Or even every 1k? Will it be better and helps the engine last longer compare to 5k? So if u think those videos are fake then u dont have to follow. Its always your choice. Why not 1km? U wont have to ask me this if u read. Ok la since this is kopitiam, i repeat. They recommend 5000km because 5000km is the inverval where there was 0 sludge detected in all those engines. This post has been edited by Balanced: Dec 27 2024, 11:19 PM |
