Upgrading from a Huawei P30. It is still a beast but battery life has degraded significantly over the past several months and it's stuck at Android 10 so I can't install certain apps like GXBank.
Shortlisted these 3: - Xiaomi 14 - Galaxy S24 - OnePlus 12
Budget is ok for all 3. I mainly look for:
- Long battery life - Fast charging - Minimum stutter/lag
Other pluses include:
- Decent cameras - Lightweight/Compact
Appreciate any input!

S24 would be a no-brainer if it had Snapdragon. I've heard that the Exynos this time round is much better but from what I see on YouTube it still gets quite heaty. Xiaomi on the other hand apparently has a lens fogging issue on some units though I'm not sure this is fixable. OnePlus is more expensive than both but the fact that it is the biggest out of the three with the worst cameras is a slight turn-off. So hard to decide!

So hard to decide! initially i'm going for s24 us set that have snapdragon, but after some fellow lowyatian here mentioned the cons,i'm kinda hesitate, but i wonder if its really going to be a problem especially if 5G band is supported or not, thats the only concern for me.

Used Xiaomi, Samsung and OnePlus before (last 3 years). Most recent is the OnePlus and Xiaomi. Samsung was awhile back.
OnePlus had a screen hardware issue after less than 3 years. The software isn't great as well, with occasional lag spikes and delayed notifications. Not too impressed.
Samsung is full of bloatware, most of which remain unused. I think it's the same for the S24. Hardware wise is very good, with really nice screen and camera.
That leaves Xiaomi. Generally no issues with the various Xiaomi phones my family and I have used in the past. However, there was 1 phone (can't remember which model) which just died due to a motherboard failure. Didn't even get a chance to backup the latest stuff. Other than that, it's a decent phone. Good screen, good camera, not much bloatware.
So in your list, I'd go with Xiaomi.

You don't want to consider S23 series? Since S23 still SD, cheaper now, still have 3 years of OS support.
