You ground sinking thus the pipe "burst". Check with your neighbor, i experienced this few years back. That time my house also about 10 years old. When ask around 7 out of 10 house around me same issue. Logically it's the combination of material used and ground sinking/shifted.
All plumber telling u to reroute not because want scam u. It's the correct and most efficient thing to do. Dun so particular about aesthetic la, nowadays i damn scared of hacking the wall/floor. Each time i do it many other issue will come out in the house.
I don't think my neighbors knew it until they got the shock bill. Many of them is tenants. So you resolved your problem by reroute/bypass it to meter & kitchen?

Still looking for someone willing to investigate and fix.
I got 1 telling me about 2k, but haven't quote based on my house size. I got 1 who can check for me, CHECKING fee rm250. Really headache now.

Those plumbers should have a listening stick that can pinpoint the location of underground leakages. I guess its just too troublesome for them
