I feel that your photos lack subjects, especially #2. My eyes don't know what to look at in your photos. Lol I face the same problem sometimes.

looks like in Sydney.. i think ur pictures are not that bad but the 1st one u should add more lighting. try edit using photoshop..

i would say tat the second picture is oversharpened and a tad over exposed... maybe you could try adjusting with the curves or smth coz the colors of the flowers are a bit wierd to me...
