I owned a Honda City IDSI 2004, suspected steering rack problem , gt metal hitting shound when turning steering wheel. Quoted RM900 inclusive labout charge for 2nd hand ori Honda steering rack. Is it worth it ? Should I get 3rd party new steering rack that is far more cheaper?

20 year old car will continue need parts replacement.
How much is the resale value for you to consider getting a new car?

If you are planning to keep the car... Try to see if you can get a New ORI... But based on the year of the car maybe cant? So the only option is to try a repair. Recond/halfcut hard to tell as usually the part is already worn out.
