Had an installer come to my house and give me a quote, due to my roof being made up of multiple pyramid shapes, they suggest to do a separate structure on the roof to hold all the solar panels. Unfortunately, the cost have gone up by RM7k. Anyone knows which company has smaller panels so I can install without the structure?

Worst than this? brows.gif

I think mine is probably worse. On the triangle shaped side, max can only put 2 panels and this is only possible for 2 sides. All other sides can only fit in 1 panel each. The panels are around 2m x 1m.

Better go for micro inverter or possible to use panels as garage rooftop awning?

Today installer came to install the system at my house. Very professional, they are seasoned pros and know exactly what they are doing.

9am start work after some chit chat. 2pm all done.

Very happy with the installation of my inverter, decided to put it outside my porch with space right below it for batteries 10 years later.

ERS. PM me your name and contact I’ll get them call you, VIP treatment. They are very busy and swamped now as with all other installers.

Price is competitive but most important for me is that they install 3 phase inverter for my 3 phase power. Some installers will insist single phase inverter is fine (it is, just not optimized for you!).

Thanks bro, will pm you. Most installers busy nowadays, they got no time to layan me.

In between 28th Nov 2023 when quota depleted until 1st April 2024 when NEM 3 extra quota with Solaris announced, they still managed to survive brows.gif

Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that they increased the quota. I always thought they started a new NEM phase when quota runs out.

I just recently apply for solar.

when i look at other country, some country also offer NEM at longer period but it is no 1 to 1 offset... in US they doing 4 to 1 offset, meaning 4kwh to grid only allow you to enjoy 1kwh free from grid.

base on the gomen target, i guess they will continue to push more NEM project so encourage more adoption.

i apply now rather waiting in view of T15 coming up and expecting more people will rush in to apply for this

Soon when more and more people change to solar , on grid nem will be different but that for us will be another 10year which is our nem contract finish

US NEM is at state level. Many states offer like 20% to 40% rebates on solar installation. So even if off-set is less, it makes sense.
