Hi guys, I am new to Solar installation and I was checking the NEM 3.0 and Solaris website.

Question with regards to Solaris program and rebate (RM1000 per kwh), the program will last as long as NEM quota still available?

thanks

NEM quota running low, just do it incase they don't extend the Solaris program  brows.gif

Yes.. only 10% of the 350MW remaining.. I am aware of that.. So I am survey these few days and hopefully to finalize within these 2 weeks..

I have shortlisted a few:
1) Verdant Solar
2) Pathgreen
3) Solar Vest
4) RGS

So far, only got Verdant's quotation
- 6 panels 3.45KWh best price rm16k
- 12 panels 6.96KWh best price rm25.5k

I noticed Pathgreen uses micro inverter while the rest are string inverter?

Would like to hear from you guys if you are using any of these companies' solar solutions.. thanks

Hi guys, I am offered with Trina bifacial panels.. wondering how effective are the bifacial panels since they will be mounted on the roof tiles?

Another thing crossed my mind is my house is facing north and my panels most likely will be facing north as there are 3 storey house at my south which could partially block my roof.. the sun usually at the north side during mid year and at the south during year end and beginning of the year..
Anyone notice if the difference is huge throughout the year? Understand that monsoon season also affects the energy production..

That’s very expensive. VERY.

1. RM4.6k per 1kWp — wtf
2. RM3663 per 1kWp

I did mine 6kWp system ~ RM3.2k per 1kWp. Smaller system than your 2. And cheaper. Trina Vertex S+ panels with Huawei hybrid inverter which costs a premium over normal string inverters. If you need help DM me I’ll hook you up. Now they super busy no time layan ppl asking for fun.

Quota left < 8% now. And is it cash price or credit card EPP?

And pls don’t just look at the kWp number. What panel, and especially what inverter is more important.

Inverter works very hard. Over 60C internal temperature, and it needs to do this everyday.

My 6.86 kWp with 5k inverter can hit 5.5kW on sunny days, but some days don’t. But I guess it’ll pull the average output up.

Thanks... yea Verdant is pretty pricy, that was the quotation in Jan 2024

I just proceed with Pathgreen yesterday, 6.05kWp 10 panels (Trina bifacial), 3 x microinverter (Hoymiles) for RM20k best price.
Turns out to be RM3306 per 1 kWp, I tot it is pretty ok considering they are providing 3 x microinverter, also 20% cash, 80% CC 24-month 0 interest.

So far I think this is the lowest that I get from various providers.

If 3 phase should go for 3 X HMS-2000 and 12 x 605W provided roof space sufficient.

You brought up a very good observation, I am being offered 10 panels with 605watt each

assuming:
3 x panels to microinverter A
3 x panels to microinverter B
4 x panels to microinverter C

I need to do more study on this hmm.gif

Correct. And nothing wrong with this.  Just u will have extra port for two more panels should you anticipate any expansion.
*
Yea..
Initially I was concerned about the capacity of the inverter vs the energy production from the solar panels..
In theory 4 panels produce 2420kw with 605kw each, but the inverter is rated at 2000 VA..
I actually wrote a mail to Hoymiles and their engineer responded, and claimed that it is compatible.. So there is some conversion calculation.. As long as the manufacturer themselves say it's ok then I am fine with that 😄

You are supposed to oversized the panels! Yours only 1:1.21. Mine 1:1.3 brows.gif

Yea.. Hoymiles' engineer told me can go up to 1.35 😁

Wah didn't see that coming.. I observed about 1% or 3MWac taken a day.. it seems 8MWac gone just today..

I got email from Seda that my application is received.. let's see if it will be approved. Still 14% unapproved quota..
