Hi guys,

I’ve got a quotation from solaroo and the parts they gave are

Solar modules: Longi Solar
Inverters: Hoymiles Micro-inverter HMS-1800

Want to ask if Hoymiles inverter any good? As compared to Huawei’s fusion solar?

Pretty noob at this.

Thanks!

Ask them if they willing to let you used S-miles app. Already many complaints on them previously regarding this issue!

I think the app they are using is Solaroo’s own mobile app. Any idea how bad it is for this app?

Maybe should consider a slightly larger system? The saving is rather optimistically high. Or if possible ask the person to share system log data of those that have install similar system and check if can generate that much savings. The estimated sun hour is 3.3, but I think maybe 3 is more realistic.
8784/365 day/7.3kwp = 3.3
I am guessing you are using close to 1000 kwh per month? Just my opinion, I think 14 Panel of about 8.5 KWp system maybe better with higher capacity inverter as well.

I think i’m ok so far using circa 7+ kwp system since my monthly bill is around 300 only. But yeah I wonder if Longi’s panel is able to generate 610w per panel compared to other brands like Trina, Jinko where its rates at 590w per panel?

did u specified what PV panel and inverter brand you want? because they quoted me sunpower PV + sungrow inverter, 8.8kwp is 30k

Nope. I didnt specify what panel and inverter. I just asked for their quick default quotation as I was rushing.

As far as my research tells, usually panels you cant choose. Inverter you can ‘upgrade’ or choose other brands for an extra cost.

By the way, anyone has any feedback if say for panels from same brand ie Trina, some vendors use different power panels..ie 580w vs 590w vs 600w
Does it matter? I mean I understand it affects your total system power but would higher power panels comes with stronger materials(?) or whatever additional materials.
