True. Used car/SD taking in for around 95k and they will resell back at over 125k

Hard to predict RV.
Suddenly new Tesla sold at RM100k, all used EV price go to drain.
Also if new tech allowed range goes above 1000km sell at same price, RV also RIP.

SD knows about it.. since we usually follow thailand price +a couple of thousand extra only.. and currently updated 2024 model atto3 in thailand cost slightly over 147k only.. down from 160k when it first launched there

Its not brand new lah. Those 129k you go ask SA they will say its a preowned/prereg unit... Thats why the ad says STARTING from 129k...

The reality is EV manufacturers keep giving out mass discounts and price slashes for EVs because the cars are not selling and stocks are pilling up in their yards.

How do you expect resale value to be maintained if the above keeps repeating?

It is brand new. But they have to pre register/ pre own it to make it sound better as second hand so that existing owners like you who bought at initial launch price wont be at their necks. Most is the car will have a few hundred kilometers on the ODO to make it look legit.

any conti car with hybrid/ battery will get poorest RV. Look at BMW 530E used, affordable now on used market. same goes to 330E. Mercedes C350E and E350e included as well as all Volvo model thanks to battery inclusion

Not advisable to buy an EV car now. Wait for 5 years, you will have better view about it. Unless you have some money to burn.

It’s a vicious cycle like how parents use their children as retirement schemes.

Your parents expect you to support them when they’re retired, as a result you’re expecting your children to support you etc.

T&H buyers expect T&H to have good RV, that’s why they can afford to pay higher price upfront as they’re expecting when they sell the cars they can get higher RV.

The chains can’t be broken and if broken, hells await.

106hp engine with scooter gb, hard plastic everywhere interior, not to mention hard as rock for dashboard at rm90k-95k, still got supporters buying that. now cheapskate with tyre spare remove, detuned engine with lower hp and torque for better FC when they can just bring in the new engine to our region instead. nah hate that practice into our market

Cannot use atto3 as benchmark, that 1 mark up kao kao by sime darby for water fish. Always check thailand and indonesia ev price first

been years i still same opinion, honda and toyota selling crap here because no competition and brand recognition..near 100K for just entry level cars is ridiculous
