Can someone run me through the best way to surely check a set of used AirPod Pro etc is not fake?

Something (screenshot) that can prove to Shopee/Carousell and get money back one.

I am already avoiding shops that sell refurbished unit which are clearly fake.

I am looking at individual sellers but I think some of these previously refurbished unit are leaking into individual sellers already.

Those in FB and shoppe... mostly clone or 1 to 1 copy with cheaper price are mostly fakes.
Expect expensive price then should be ok.
Even those copy, they tend to provide receipts but who knows... could be fake receipts as well.

So the case serial number matches the case serial. Like this should be legit right?

This for for AirPod pro 2. Can the individual earpiece serial number be checked?

Shopee can find those MALL logo one such as TMT

I was thinking of buying used

After asking several Carousell seller to send some info regarding the Airpods they're selling, I have noticed that the fake units currently ALSO CAN send location information to Find My! (This was one of the ways suggested by one site to test). Why I know this was a fake unit -> because these 2 units share the same serial number coming from 2 different sellers! LOL

The rest of the info like checking the SN in the app is well known can be done by fake units (They will match the one on the airpod pro case).

So at the moment, I still need to find a more sure proof way to check this.

I can confirm that even the individual fake AirPod Pro 2 serial number can show up in the App and how in Find My .....


So these fakers are getting really good.

Anyone want me to list this SN that is "valid" but fake ?

Just buy new if you’re worried …. There’s probably no sure fire method to exclude a high grade fake.

easy, check the ear tips packaging. authentic Apple AirPods got some edges & nice texture. not just shining white cardboard with no edges.

open tab for AirPods is cleaner and wont leave any residue or tear part.

Just got caught off guard bought fake AirPods Pro 2. Totally look legit with SN on the case and left right AirPods. The fake gets so good even have noise cancelation, adaptive sound and transparency. Even product shows in FindMy and apple Support apps. COD face 2 face deal didn’t notice anything but after search YouTube then only noticed those small details. Must compare with original packaging.

you better check the latest YT on how to spot.

now it seems that the ear pod SN is not the same as the Case.
also when you pair it. theres limitation function on the fake compare to the ori ones.
