QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Apr 23 2024, 02:20 PM) read google review, it not last long and leaked back after some time. The price is not much cheaper than buying brand new. happy customers usually dun go online sing praises... and new cars can also kaput within a week... anyways, new oem is best... but with rebuild you can tune it to your liking... performance parts will cost you a lot more... and as always, depending on the sifu n spare parts used lor... some are not worth fixing... anyways just highlighting the option... |

QUOTE(Pat89 @ Apr 23 2024, 12:49 PM) Originals, no point service. Just get new one.Cheras area can try: - Speed Mod Motorsport - YL car services (Kajang) < Do more Honda's - Hong Yip Motor Workshop I'm using Tein Endura Pro Plus on HRV. It's nice, comfortable, and not bouncy. I usually set city drive a bit soft, highway a bit hard, and Genting even harder. Just that this absorber is a little bit pricey. There are allot of options out there, just depends what you want; Something simple = Originals/ OEM Ori Want something a little bit better then Ori = Something like Tein Endura Pro Plus (Hard Soft adjustable) Dont care want something fun = Adjustable Adjustable hard to find comfortable, adjusting here and there, still too hard. |

QUOTE(JON97 @ Apr 23 2024, 09:24 PM) For my original Showa (now renamed Hitachi after corporate restructuring) , definitely worth it to rebuild and service. They are over 3k+ for a set of brand new. And there are far more expensive original absorbers, fixed damping non adjustable. But with sufficient stroke and proper bypass or multi valving, they will be even better performing than majority of Coilovers (you call them adjustables) especially the cheap ones. Needless to say about comfort, sure win. RalphRatedR and dwRK liked this post

Absorber installation typically around 300-400 excluding alignment. |

Beware of Shopee fake parts. Honda got a lot of fake. Why not give the shop that install some profit and buy from them. If any issue, cannot blame part or install problem. If the shop is good, they will also look at the bushing, mounting, those rubbers and see any crack. Drive Civic please dont be so cheapskate lah... amscouzach57 liked this post

Honda absorbers better go out and modify, most newer Honda absorbers even original got 1 nylon/plastic bush in it.
Once reach it lifespan or fetch heavy stuff it will shattered and jam the valve in it. Modifying the inner valve system for Honda absorbers will last longer compare to original. This will also depends on the absorber repairer skill/workmanship. This post has been edited by littlefire: Apr 25 2024, 03:00 PM |

QUOTE(Pat89 @ Apr 26 2024, 09:55 AM) No matter what normal replacement absorbers for original Honda will got the plastic bush/nylon bush built in, it is like factory requirement from Honda. Unless you go for those aftermarket performance type absorbers only the inner valve design is different. This is what i knew when i took my absorbers to go service and saw the absorber repairer open up ori Honda absorbers and pour out all those dirty oil + plastic debris out.. Now a lot of them just took other suspension valve system and modify in, will last longer and serviceable. Pat89 liked this post

U want comfort and some slight sportiness consider blistien b4 and use your existing spring.
Else consider b8 with eibach springs. Comfort and more sporty |
