Hi, I am a house owner. my current tenancy contract will only end in 2 years+ (Made a mistake in agreeing to a 3 year tenancy agreement) . Now thinking to sell the house as we want to look at other property in our current area. there is clause where if we want to sell the house, we need to get new owner to agree to accept the tenant until the agreement ends. So is it normal practise, property buyer can accept to wait for the tenancy to end?

When i bought my place..it was tenanted.
So I was told that if by the time handover, the tenancy still haven't expire, I will get the rental income.
I agreed but the whole buying process took few months that the tenancy already expire so I lost out.

Currently renting a place. According to the agent, if owner were to sell a tenanted house, the buyer will still have to honor the existing tenancy.
