very friendly seller n good deal.. but i wanna know more in details what're the effects of having a different 'chipset'?
like this one i bought is japanese version.. i dont know what's the correct term for it..
anyway why are there many different chipsets(as i see from codes stated from sellers), only for region purposes?
any major effect of my ps2 towards compability with (ahem) games?

The seller said "just change new chip @ 19/12/2006 so that able to many games hardly play". So, i guess you should be able to play ahem games.
