QUOTE(prophetjul @ Apr 23 2024, 10:48 AM) I think the key words is “training class” and maybe joining those tournaments or competitions can claim it. Entrance and court fees sure can claim it too. The rest is still gray area, need more info to check claimable or not.

The rest is still gray area, need more info to check claimable or not. Read from other news source seems like it's for coach and training, and the training provider must be properly registered. QUOTE https://says.com/my/sports/103-types-of-spo...1000-tax-reliefFor their fees to qualify for the tax relief, training providers must be from associations, sports clubs, or companies registered with the Sports Commissioner or incorporated under the Companies Act "The public need to check whether the coaches or the training they undertake are registered properly. They cannot claim the tax relief if they train under or are coached by unregistered coaches or entities," said Yeoh.

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Apr 23 2024, 12:03 PM) always have been able to claim gym membership as well Don't think can claim golf or club membership as it not under sports ministry list of sport. Maybe golf balls and equipment. Of cos if the club are registered and managed to split the fees into individuals class like gym, yoga, swimming and golf fees https://www.yycadvisors.com/golfclub-member...20tax%20savings! QUOTE(kelvinng92 @ Apr 23 2024, 12:39 PM) Read from other news source seems like it's for coach and training, and the training provider must be properly registered. It always best practices to claim with receipts from established and related sports companies or association. Better safe than later LHDN kena add back plus penalty for minor amounts offences. Scare if kena under 1st offence, 2nd offence will be higher % penalty This post has been edited by Iceman74: Apr 23 2024, 01:47 PM
