Really bad experience I had, Maxis dealer at The Starling Mall Damansara Utama named Gentel Communications Sdn Bhd.
I wanted to sign up an iPhone Maxis plan, for peace of mind I wanted to sign it up directly with a Maxis Centre. I saw a Maxis store at the Starling Mall Damansara so I went in and enquire.
This Maxis dealer falsely claimed they are not a dealer, but instead is a Maxis Centre. Asked many time and being told they are Maxis Centre not a dealer, telling me stories that they have taken up the store used to be a dealer and Maxis website havent updated their status as Maxis Centre yet.
Better yet then they forced me to take up RM 299 for extended warranty, as this is mandatory for any iPhone purchase through Maxis Centre.
After being convinced and swiped my credit card, I couldnt get a receipt from Maxis. That was when dispute started, I questioned them why couldn’t I get a receipt from Maxis since they are Maxis Centre? That was when it was revealed that they were “Gentel Communications Sdn Bhd”, and when I started recording the video below.
Such a horrible experience being cheated on.
