Here's my list. There's no best one in my opinion it all depends on your preference which one suits your tastebud.
-soong kee is hakka style -lai foong is teow chew style -shin kee (opposite lai foong) also hakka style but twisted a bit , soup more clear. -yong kee pudu is hong kong style -man kee bangsar/new branch mid valley near GSC cinema is canton style
edit: the origin of lai foong beef noodle is hainan, not teow chew

Try these two when you are down here in KL.

I wonder why nobody mentioned Ngau Kee Jalan Tong Shin. It has been some time since I have eaten. Used to be good. Not sure about now. This used to be the makan place last time after clubbing. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Apr 18 2024, 05:50 PM

QUOTE(snimple @ Apr 18 2024, 03:56 PM) The shop next to it .... my fav wan tan mee I like their Wan tan mee with braised beef... very tender and tasty! Anyways between lai foong and soong kei, I'd much rather have the latter (personal preference). Soong kei's elderly lady boss has an amazing memory and knows my usual order. Meanwhile in Georegetown's new world park food city, there's a beef broth fountain of flavor
